I will never understand why Clive Burr is not recognized as one of the leading drummers in music (PERIOD). He was so unique and had his own look and sound - all the way around - snare, cymbals, ride, HH and especially those gorgeous sounding, melodically tuned toms (Another Life, Genghis Khan, to name ONLY ca couple of tunes); and clearly had great influence on the best metal drummers to come after him. Awesome drummer and musician!

There are five musicians in this video. All five pouring their heart and soul into the music, so much so that it lives, breathes, is revered still 40 years later! Yet the overwhelming majority of comments down below in this thread relate to one man. Clive. Clive was loved. That he should have been treated so shabbily by I.M. breaks my heart. My friend, who got me into Iron Maiden, both of us aged 13 then at N.O.T.B., actually STOPPED listening to the band when Piece of Mind was released. Why? Because Clive was not on it any more. My friend was not a drummer, he wasn't even a musician. He was a fan and recognised what Clive brought. An 'X Factor'. That album I now dedicate to Clive. And what did Clive manage to do for me? Even with my friend gone from metal, I listened and became a mega metal fan. And I became a drummer. Because of Clive. I'm am so thrilled that other Metalheads and I.M. fans have not forgotten him. Because it was 40 years ago that he last played with I.M. What a long time ago! What a long shadow to cast. We love Nicko, I have nothing against him as a person. But I missed Clive.

I was priviledged enuff to have seen this Tour! I was 14yrs old...Was my first Concert! I realized right then and there that I would be a lifetime concert goer!! Thanks to Maiden !!!!

this has always been my favorite live version of this song...just listen to the twin guitars on rhythm - effin tight, marshall overdrive crunch. and clive on the drums - just a naturally good time keeper and his 'feel' was not technical, not saturated, but simply organic

these guys were SO tight live. This sounds like the studio recording.

It's really hard to believe it isn't the studio version! There are only a couple of little things that differ to tip you off it is actually live. One of the reasons I have always loved Maiden is the quality of their live performances and this one is a perfect example

they were tight specialy because of Clive Burr at that time. Clive was very precise on his drumming.
