Threezero is offering an Iron Man figure, that's almost fully die cast for basically $90. That's unheard of, even for a 1/12th scale figure. The Iron Man Mark 43 doesn't come with a Tony Stark head sculpt, but it doesn't need one to be honest. The overall sculpt, paint application and details are all first class. Articulation is solid. The Mark 43 is also one of my favorite Iron Man suits. It's right up there with the Mark 47 from Spider-Man Homecoming and the Mark 50 from Avengers Infinity War. The fact that the figure is die cast is definitely impressive. The light up option is much appreciated. Otherwise, thanks as always Justin for another wonderful video!

Holy articulation! I really love that sliding thigh plate rather than how Hot Toys has the skirt bits that hinge out. The integrated spine is also a nice iteration on the same idea. 👏 to ThreeZero

From some reviews I have seen, this figure is kind of a middle ground scale-wise between Marvel Legends and Marvel Select. My guess is it’s a bit big for Marvel Legends but at the same time a bit too small for Select so he may go better with MEZCO figures cuz the Mezco One:12 Collective Iron Man figure is rather large for Marvel Legends but works fine in its own line

Can confirm; this figure fits INCREDIBLY well with Mezco One:12 Collective figures! He's actually just a hair taller than the Mezco Iron Man, but it's literally a difference of less than an inch, so they can work just fine together in poses.

I was able to scoop this bad boi up for $65 usd shipped and taxed. I’m pretty happy with it on all aspect except for scale. He is definitely not 1/12 scale because he stands just a hair under 7”. But the details, articulation, and engineering is so good that it was a surprise they were able to fit it into 7”.

A few tips to add to this fantastic video. I just got this figure and it is my first and only collectible, I am not into this hobby or collecting, just wanted to have one high end Iron Man figure. When the figure like this comes out of the factory some parts that are supposed to move are firmly tight together and need the first ‘kickstart’ to begin moving as they are supposed to. there is a fine point where you can almost break the figure before the part starts moving properly, but if you do it right, the figurw works amazing. for example, the torso leaning from left to right is mentioned, but not shown in the video. I had to pull the figure apart and press the central metal rod to the left extremely hard before it started to move. I am pretty sure if i did it while the figure was assembled, it would break the outer plastic parts. however, once ot got going, it works as a charm and ironman can bend sideways and the posing this figure can do is beyond amazing. same goes for the arm movement. every joint needs some working before it loosens. keep a good eye on every move, because the shoulder and back flaps can break off or break completely if you rotate the hand without moving them out of the way, as the hand works as a giant lever… so be careful with the model but also firm, dont be afraid to use the joints, while taking care not to break them. it is a fine line. you can pull the thighs out a bit more than in the video, all the way until you hear a click. the joint that spreads the legs outward is extremely tight so dont be afraid to firmly open it. but always be careful where you hold the figure and where the counter force goes when you open or close… a big thank you for this video as I couldnt take the figure apart in two pieces and that is necessary for the reactor batteries. it needed a firm grip and a strong pull that I was very afraid to do. after watching your review it was much clearer what goes on inside so it all went easy afterwards. if anyone has more questions about this figure feel free to ask, as there is not a lot info around yet, and the manual is not extremely detailed. cheers!!

Thanks for the info. I have preordered the figure but it hasn’t arrived yet. Quick question, what parts of the figure are metal and which are plastic? I was under the impression that it would be mostly metal as it is described as being “constructed of threezero’s renowned DLX die- cast system” but I have seen a lot of comments from people saying it is mostly plastic. @@LTM179 The inner skelet is die cast (the sytem that moves the torso and the shoulders), which is the most important in my opinion for it willl make the figure more durable in the long run. the outside is i believe mostly plastic, but the color finish is so nice and metallic that it is hard to tell the difference. the figure is heavy and sturdy.

This is more like 1/10 scale (Same as ZD toys) not 1/12 since it is over 7" tall. The ZD toys version of Hall of armor is the perfect fit for ThreeZero as well.

if you say "upgrade" from comicave to hulkbuster threezero version, it's not an upgrade, but a downgrade, because the LEDs on the legs don't exist for the threezero version, only the eyes, chest, and back. and the size is exactly the same as comicave. and of course the diecast material is not as much as comicave.
