I do think a Mack multi-launch coaster like Copperhead Strike would have been a great addition too, despite Possessed being in the same park. But the Mack's multi launch can feature hangtime and ejector too. Glad Dorney Park is getting something new though!

Mack’s are too expensive. Cedar fair doesn’t feel as if this park is worth a huge investment. The fact that they’re getting a dive coaster while Kings Island gets a itty bitty family boomerang is shocking.

The public will love this. Period. The GP doesn’t care about ejector airtime and floater airtime they just want to have fun. So in my opinion Dorsey picked the best option for the GP to love.

Personally, I think a dive is a perfect fit for Dorney. It's reliable with decent compacity and a people pleaser. I think they went with a dive just to bring in more crowds, especially since it's been almost 20 years since they build a new ride and about 10 years since they opened a ride new to the park. And depending on its success, I feel like CF would be open to invest a more thrilling standout ride, preferably one filled with ejector airtime. I especially love the theming and I hope it will be well done.

Been going to Dorney for almost 25 years and now living less than 10 minutes away from there, I’m just happy they are getting a brand new coaster. Nothing beats experiencing a coaster for the first time and this will be my first dive coaster. I’m beyond excited for next year.

I firmly believe that in the future we will see a wooden coaster here or some type of stand out ride. To me, Iron Menace is supposed to be the ride that BRINGS IN more guests to the park. And then they get that standout attraction shortly after to keep the new guests coming backing to the park, while at the same time increasing attendance even more. I think with how deliberately themed this ride is and for how substantial it is, that Cedar Fair has plans for this park. I'm not going to get ahead of myself, but this addition to me seems indicative of a brighter future for Dorney. I think they seem serious about fixing how much its fallen behind from its competitors. And Cedar Fair SHOULD be taking notes with how many numbers Hershey can pull in. Dorney is literally closer to the population centers that Hershey pulls from. They should theoretically be in a good position to PULL from the Hershey customer base. But they need to start taking steps to increase their offerings. This is the first step.

Dorney Park is limited by township restrictions especially when it comes to the height of a coaster. Cedar Fair really had to battle in order to put in Steel Force. I've been going to Dorney Park since I was a little kid and I am now 73. I no longer go to amusement parks but wish I could.

They had to fight for this one as well. I couldn't be to loud and they said it couldn't bring in more people than pre pandemic crowds. It's a shame they have to deal with that.

Honestly it is interesting. What I feel would make this ride is how they theme it. If the immersion is done well, this could end up as my favorite coaster coming next year. I love the concept and I hope they pull through with the theme and take it to its maximum.

I think it looks really nice, and will be a great fit for Dorney. I do however wish that they would have stuck an airtime hill in it somewhere. It's just 4 inversions in a row and then the end. Get rid of that wonky loop and stick an awesome airtime hill in, and maybe after that final turn, it could dropped down and into a right hand upward helix into the brakes.

Personally, I think Zambezi Zinger and Iron Menace should have switched parks as both rides seem a little too similar to what their respective parks already have. Despite there being GCIs all over the region, one would be an excellent fit for Dorney, and for a prototype ride with titan track it'd be much closer to GCI's workshop so they can easily monitor it and make adjustments. Meanwhile, a dive at WOF would be a unique add for the center of the country and would have given the park a second B&M that differs significantly from other rides at the park.

Since CF is working with vekoma now, atleast for smaller coasters, hopefully that can eventually lead to some bigger projects and maybe one of those can go to Dorney park and be that true standout ride because I agree, they have a lot of good coasters but nothing stand out.

Timing-wise, I could see Valleyfair going in on a Vekoma thrill coaster - possibly even a 2-for-1 deal to throw in a Family Boomerang like Tripsdrill did. We have a whole plot of land at the front of the park that was formerly the original Antique Autos and Dinos Alive that is just sitting vacant now. After that, I would love to see them remove our old Arrow Corkscrew for a B&M Dive Machine. The pond that Corkscrew flies over would be a perfect photo-op location for a much better coaster, plus it's a ride type that even Six Flags Great America in Illinois is missing.

Others issues with the wooden shuttle are that it's too close to Thunderhawk, and it wouldn't have been visible from the interstate. Dorney really needed something over *150 feet* tall (taller than Jersey Devil and Wildcat's Revenge), and they were probably hesitant to work with Gerstlauer due to maintenance issues with Hangtime. Plus, the GP would have considered it too similar to *Fahrenheit* and *Shellraiser* at American Dream. Agree Iron Menace won't be a standout ride - it really could benefit from a *figure-eight* finale, but money spent on theming will translate to *more revenue* from merch. So it's a solid choice for the park. Hopefully within the next 5-10 years we'll see a *Vekoma* coaster that focuses on airtime, or a *reprofiled Thunderhawk* to make it more like a modern Gravity Group woodie.

Considering the scaristy of dive machines in the neighborhood, great move for the park. As an enthousaist though; bit sad about the lay out. It's that typical old mentality of 1 inversion after the other. I really would love to see B&M to take a more flowing perspective on rides. Even interact with a bit of landscaping here and there. Dorney is one of my local parks along with Hersheypark. Yea I got season passes for both lol. But I am overjoyed for this new ride. Dorney has been toooo long neglected by Cedar Fair. Way too long. So seeing this new ride after almost 20 years of being stagnate for any new development is really a breath of fresh air to see. What I would love to see as well is Thunderhawk get RMC treatment. Turn it into a family style RMC.

Their line up is stacked for sure but they don’t necessarily have the best of every coaster in the area. What they offer is completeness. A full ride line up with thrills mild to wild which is why they are an S tier park. Great Adventure is in the coaster game only and Dorney offers top tier family and water park stuff but needs more stand out coasters to catch up. If Cedarfair continues to invest big in Dorney I can honestly see Dorney pulling in more guest than GADV and moving GADV to 3rd of the 3. Hershey and Dorney’s operations are just so much better.

I think it is the perfect fit for Dorney. It’s a ride the gp loves and Dorney beat Hershey to it as it was in their pipeline. Apparently Cedar Fair is looking to bring Dorney closer to one of their tier 1 parks because of market area and the numbers Hershey has been pulling. Iron Menace is kind of the start of their plans. However there really needs to be a spike in attendance and income next year for them to continue their vision for Dorney which I think is very achievable. If Cedar Fair starts investing into Dorney GADV is gonna be in big trouble. Hershey and Dorney are definitely the more complete and nicer parks of the 3. Six Flags appeals to coaster enthusiasts only.

Here's the thing; could a smaller multi launch also fit here? Yes. Is a dive machine good? Yes. Dorney needs a tall imposing coaster to greet guests, and fill the void left by Laser back in 2008. Stinger never felt like a proper replacement, just dropped there to fill vacant space. Hopefully, Iron Menace will bring revenue back to Dorney and give it some fuel for another new roller coaster. after this. They were on a streak with Talon in 2001 and then Hydra in 2005, and then just fell off when the recession hit.

I think that while this is basically the perfect fit for the park, I think it's exactly what they need right now. It's my belief that this is a stepping stone attraction for them, It's kind of them showing cedar Fair. If you give us money look what we can do with it. My hope is that should this do really well, should the park see you in attendance? Rise and the revenue rise significant enough that cedar federal will allow them in a few years time to do another attraction, which I'm hopeful could be that modern wooden roller coaster or multi-launch on the dinosaurs alive plot. And hopefully when they do that it would bring in a few flat rides and a new "area" which I think is really what they need. They really need to take advantage of that dinosaurs alive plot. That's what I think this whole thing is now. I could be totally wrong, but as long as this isn't the only roller coaster they receive for another 20 years I'm fine

For a park so close to a major city it sucks that cedar fair invest so little. I see this park advertised at literally every philly sports event, but it gets no love. This addition is hopefully a building block for a “wow” coaster. There’s no Velocicoaster, or Maverick type ride near bye. A lot more “wow” in these then a 160ft dive coaster 😐
