Never been big on no damage runs or such. The difficulty of Ironman is fine, but going too far beyond that turns it into tedium it feels like.

About the no-damage run, IMHO it depends - if you can pull it off without sacrificing viewing pleasure (making missions unnecessarily longer etc) you could call it a "hidden achievement" and make it part of a true completionist playthrough ; on the other hand, if it makes things uncomfortable for you or for us, it's probably better to not attempt it :-)

Super interested to see how this playthrough goes. It would be absolutely insane to see you try and do this taking no damage. I do need to note though, the Ark brings back memories from The Descendants. I know that the game was not a very popular one, lots of effort for not a lot of views which was unfortunate. Just brings back old memories, something I haven't thought of in a long time. I at least enjoyed watching the first half of that playthrough, and I know Im going to enjoy this one. Cheers!

Ive seen the game before but havent played it myself. Doing a no damage run might be extra challenging but also sounds...boring somehow. If no achievements are tied to it id just focus on playing the game and not worry to much about doing a no-damage run :)

There`s just something so fascinating about seeing and hearing how the characters view our current society, and how they remember us. I love that sort of thing when it`s done correctly.

It's the same thing in the Tabletop RPG system. you have Chronicle-people who usually get SOMEWHAT close to what oddities and such from the world before were actually about. However not always. sometimes finding a blowup doll might just mean the GM will let anyone that can discern what is is, will think it to be used as a sparring dummy for fistycuffs training, or used as a decoy :p

This is gonna be fun. I love this game and as a Swede living quite close to where this game is taking place it's fun to catch all the Swedish easter eggs. One example is that the "box" they used for an elevator up to the Ark is an old tram from Gothenburg and there are Swedish writing all over the place.

In all honesty my hopes were another survival/sandbox kind of series for being not too much of a turn-based tactics fan, but just 10 minutes of listening to Pete's comments and watching what seems to be a nice and somewhat story driven game made me think otherwise. Good luck Pete!

My thought was to recommend this game for exactly the same reasons you did. I loved my own play through, and this might make me play it again. It is set in post apoc Sweden. I had so much fun and memories from when I role played it 15 years ago.
