I actually like the idea of the Domtar being a Daemon Price.

Yeah, I can imagine it would work similarly to a Daemon Engine, where the Warpsmiths just bind the Daemon Prince to a Domitar to make its connection to realspace more stable and giving it a much tougher body as a result.

I like the bases on the Iron Warriors; they've got a real Stalker/Fall Out feel to them. An all-round cool looking army. The "daemon prince" is a great counts-as.

Winters - you need to get janky with your reanimation - pull from combat and regen at the back out of engagement range. Then you don't need to fall back. Just an idea

Armour of Contempt and Iron Warriors Legion Trait might look like a patch to a new codex, but it's a bit more complicated. AoC is a Balancing Slate change. They can decide at some point to remove it from BS and than Iron Warriors ability will turn back into the one in their book... Strange, but that's how it works.

I've often wondered what happened to the Iron Circle once they spent 10k years in the Eye of Terror. I think many of them would have to be Daemon Princes. EXCELLENT video. People have said that Forgefiends kinda suck, but they certainly don't with Iron Warriors, do they? I bought and painted 2 before the codex came out.

I know it’s more to think about but protocols really can help, I feel you need every tool at your disposal these days in 40K also your protocol thag you selected for the whole game I think was 2 wounds for living metal so the skorpekh lord should have been back up to 5 after falling out of combat with the demon prince?

Are those reanimation rolls being done correctly? I thought you can only resurrect 1 warrior no matter how many 5s you roll. You then roll again with the number of dice you rolled 5s for minus the one for the one you resurrected. Then rinse and repeat until you stop rolling 5s? Great battle report as always!

Great game! Winters, you were wondering why the hyperphase reap blades are different between Skorpekhs and Ophydian destroyers, the reason Ophydian's get exploding 6s is because they are modeled with 2 on their arms, while Skorpekhs have 1 (and better strength), the more you know!

"Get close, but don't get close." Yeah, that sums up Necrons pretty well. I've found that they're simultaneously one of the easiest and most difficult factions to play. The fact that all of their pure melee units are truly fearsome, but have absolutely no range, while the ranged units can shoot with the best of them but are shite in melee is a little tricky to juggle.

40 minutes in and it seems to me that you forgot some Reanimation rolls for the Necron Warriors and also for the Skorpekh Destroyers after the Smite, in 9th you can use reanimation protocols in mortal wounds but the majority of players forget it. Both armies are looking great. Edit: ouch, what a painfully brutal battle for the Necrons. Lacking the punch power and lacking resistance. It's the reality to us Necron players.

Space Marines/Chaos/Sisters just naturally reduce incoming AP by 1. Just pretty much an army wide AP reduction. Ie. If you shoot a Plasma at -3 against a Space Marine, AOC will reduce it to -2. It does NOT improve an armor save, so if it is AP0, nothing happens.

Huge mistake to not fight the chosen first on the turn 2 IW charge. The lord isn't going to kill the demon prince without a huge spike roll and you can severely deplete the destroyers before they reduce the chosen. Also Iron Warriors should still have the objective on turn 4 since the CSM are troops and the scarabs/spider isn't?

Nice to see some more Xenos vs Chaos batreps on here, and some of the recent Xenos v Xenos ones too. I like your reports, Winters, but I think sometimes on YT there can be a slight exhaustion with how samey a lot of your specific match-ups can be and especially when you've had lots of Imperium v Imperium fights before.
