Gal Vorbak are amazing, but you need to get the charge in against certain units. But all in all, the pitfall of this game was two lists of different power level. The Iron Warriors list was highly competitive, bringing all the nasty units, and was all in all very optimised. The Word Bearers list was more fun and fluffy, than competitive.

Movement 14 is a +3 to charge, for future references. Would not have mattered at 34:40 if you guys measured it at 9 anyway, but just ftr.

Nice, but maybe too shooty list from the IW? between the Missiles and the AC I think it was too much really... Vehicle heavy list vs IW dont stand a chance unless very weird things happens.

@@SNBattleReports , hmm.. I am not convinced. Knights fall, they are not too heavily armored. And you had two dreads as reinforcements. Dont know. Next time, ask the WB include not only the demon engine, but a couple of Marat Ghal too and maybe we can talk 😅

As an IW player i think you need more los block. The Gal vorbak/ Angel Tal being held up by a dreadnought just shows how durable they are and the brutal 3 is just so painful.

GVB have always done work for me - I run five, one with a power fist and generally a chaplain with em. Give them the first point of warp juice so they’re WS6 S6 and they’ll blend anything except a primarch on the charge. They are vulnerable to masses shooting - but that means the shooting isn’t going into the rest of your units who can also cause havoc.

Just played my first 3k game yesterday, mortarian ran off the field, after wiping 8 gal vorbak and 5 command squad guys in 2 turns while putting 3 wounds on lorgar… but I targeted the gal vorbak as the 2k game I played a week ago and 5 man gal vorbak with argel tal destroyed my buffed grave wardens, 3 squads of tacticals, and a plasma cannon unit all in 5 turns… 1 squad a turn

Iron circle were initially Perty’s guard, but then he built more and they were seen in battles away from pert. I guess it’s possible that Kyr was able to get a few and use them for loyalist reasons.

Love me some daemon engines! I was under the impression that since the Kytan takes up a lord of war slot, you don’t have to take a Praevian , instead you can take a Mechanicum allied detachment. Anyways love seeing Heresy on the channel! Keep up the great content!

I gotta say, I don't know if it's 30k in general or just this board set up, but first turn alpha strikes are brutal and pretty much determined the game. While modern 40k has a ton of issues, it gets that part better at least.

I really enjoyed the battle report, lot of epic moments like the Spartan exploding round 1 and the Leviathans rampage on the left flank. As always top tier terrain! I really wish GW did some better work on writing rules for units like Gal Vorbak etc., because for me it is pain to watch something expensive in points that should be really scary to do what aforementioned Gal Vorbak do, which is run around and dwindle every turn...,

Try argel tal in a 10men command squad with two lighting claws a power fist on the bearer, combat shield, warhawk jumpack and corrupted. They should work ok 👌 Then two squad of Galvorbak in Land Raider should be good too. And try to have 1st turn😢
