I just saw this video for the first time, I run a 1.4×2.05 on my blackjack 42 on 8s. It's a monster. Watching your videos has inspired me to build 3 other boats. I have an old hobby king relentless v 2 That I put on 6 s, And I just converted my pro boat miss budweiser to electric. Is all from your inspirations, thank you

Buddy just bought the bj42. I told him to buy the smc 6200mah 4s lipos. Should he get the 7600mah 4s for added weight up front of hull. Thx

Yes, the 7600 vs 6200 made a huge difference with blowovers especially if he's not running trim tabs.

Thx man, I have him ordering the complete kit from rc boat bits, with tabs and the prop and cooling line stuff. I will install for him. He just likes running in the mid 60's range. I will try some other props then the 4814 that comes with the kit. I have alot of Chris's props.

Try notching out foam in front of batteries to be able to move batts forward more, then readjust strut it worked for me

Hey big B, You had mentioned the oxidine 5016 1.6 50 mm 3 blade would be a good all-around prop for my blackjack 42. I have a 48 mm three blade 1.8 pitch oxidine that I haven't tried. What are the differences between those two? And the difference with speed and temps. Any help is totally appreciated Love the channel.

I haven't had a chance to run the 481.8.. the 5016 should give you more out the hole take off compared to the 4818, 4818 should have more top end speed with reduced take off

I think I am gonna keep the octura 447 on my sonic wake. And buy one for this boat. Seems fast enough on 6s for me. Not trying to break records or my boat on 8s. Any ideas?

Oxidean marine 5016 3 blade is a good basher/speed prop

I've literally run props on 6s up to 60mm, the 60mm prop is only for 6s operation NOT FOR 8S www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=oct-x460

I run my 42 on 6s. With a 447 prop. No 8s needed.

3s 100c 5000mah spektrum. It's fast but handles terrible with the heavy pack. Handles better with a 4000mah 50 3s pack not quite as fast though

Are you saying that the Stock Sonickwake 36 prop that's 1.7x1.6 on 8s was faster than the stock prop that the BJ 42 comes with??

It's an aluminum prop 1.7pitch probably not the stock prop for sw36. I don't know what the stock prop is on the sonic wake 36.. all I know is the package the prop came in from proboat had sonicwake on it, Probably upgraded prop.. I really haven't run the stock prop that much on the 42.

Sonic wake prop and bj42 is basicly same prop. Both are an abc 1617 clone . What's giving you the jump out of the water is the prop tongue.
