Test Circle: Proof of Concept for Custom Tracks, definitely paved the way for what was to come but I feel like it technically isn't its own track since its the model of Shy Guy Beach just with modified collision. Lava Canyon: First full-fledged custom track, meaning it was the first case of someone taking the model, collision, and whatever else of a Nintendo Track, chucking it in the bin and putting something completely different in its place. SNES Rainbow Road: The first largely successful attempt at creating a custom track, so successful that it remained in CTGP until 2017

Right… and also: Mushroom Peaks: One of the first custom tracks that are in a Mushroom Gorge environment and the first one to be made extremely difficult for many CTGP players over the years.

Imo Test Circle is the first one since it is recognized as a custom track by not just the wiki but a lot of the community

Hmm… not really. The first actual custom track is Lava Canyon. Problem is, you can go through the walls, making for an ultra shortcut.

@@KozakuraRabbit Right… and Mushroom Peaks is one of the first custom tracks to have an extremely hard difficulty and the first track to actually have bouncy mushrooms. That track has been so popular that people managed to make tracks harder than Mushroom Peaks. If that wasn’t enough, SlipperyMac’s version is more of the remade version of it.

@@CiblesGD Yep. I do think that Mushroom Peaks was one of the first difficult custom tracks and the first one to include the bouncy mushroom objects that are part of the track.

It'd be cool to assume the first custom track was Lava Canyon since it's entirely custom and doesn't have "test" in the name, but it is what it is and for me Test Circle remains the first one nonetheless. The only way I wouldn't have counted it is if it were more of a texture hack rather than a model hack.
