Thank you for the detailed instructions. I've completed it in my garage with 15hrs of labor total. One thing i do to level the car at the end is to tighten the driver side torsion bar a bit more than factory setup, and loosen the passenger side about 4 times as much as what i do on the driver side. At the end, i got total 2 inch as you advertised. Front driver & passenger height from ground to fender 36 inch. Rear driver height 37.875 inch (higher due to slightly longer pigtail) Rear passenger height 37.5 inch.

I was able to disconnect the AHC computer with out removing the paneling/trim. It is fairly accessible. Used a long flatblade screwdriver to pop the release clips and push the connectors off. Took 2 minutes. My dash clips are brittle(Arizona Heat) I didn't want a can of worms. Hopefully this helps. Great video! Helped a lot with the installation. Thanks!!!!

Thanks for the tip! I was able to do the same thing. Took me longer than two minutes 😂 but otherwise was exactly as you described. You really gotta jam your head all the way in the foot well to see, but still much faster and preferable to taking all that stuff apart.

Just did this on my land cruiser 100, a note that all the top shock bolts (front and rear) were 19mm, not 22mm. Also, that rear passenger side lower shock hoop seems to fuse really easily to the mount point. Had to angle grind the hoop off and scrape the rubber bushing off to be able to wrench it loose. Excellent video, this process went super smoothly because of it!

What size drill bit did you use for the torsion bar support holes you drilled for the LX470?
@Ironman4x4America Жыл бұрын
Don't recall, but use a bit size that matches the bolt diameter to start. Should not be any larger than the holes in the BRACKET100 brackets.

Are the torsion bars supposed to have different lengths after you tightened them ?

My shocks came with one plastic boot and the other three come with rubber boots. Is this correct? I put the shock with the plastic boot on the rear drivers side.

Does it really increase the payload or does it just allow for better handling characteristics when fully loaded?

The suspension upgrade will properly support the additional weight of any added accessories, improve handling and performance on and off road.

Hi I’m going to try install these myself shortly. I noticed that i have inner coil bump stops on my 1997 prado 95 and one of them are broken in half. Can’t seem to find replacement here but i can find plenty of the chassis mounted rear bump stops. I noticed you don’t use the inner coil bump stops. Could i getaway without using them when i install my coils if i use the chassis bumpstops or is the 90 series different to the 95 series long wheel base? Best demo video online for this install by the way. Keep them coming 😎

The Ironman 4x4 UCA has many benefits. After lifting your vehicle over 2.5" your stock UCA's might not have the capability to make the appropriate alignment adjustments. The Ironman 4x4 UCAs will allow for more caster adjustment during your alignment. Visit our website for more information.

So it looks like the panhard is at a much greater angle than stock height, do you need to fix this?
@Ironman4x4America Жыл бұрын
We do offer an adjustable panhard bar but we only recommend it if after a lift install you have rear axel alignment issues. It works great to help correct track. But not always critical so check with an alignment shop first to see if you need it before you spend money on a problem you may not have

They are called a swivel head or flex head combination ratchet wrench, made by most common brands out there. Its a great tool to have for this job and no need to cut holes in your truck!

@Ironman4x4America Жыл бұрын
Any 200 Series Land Cruiser suspension will bolt up to the LX570. The kick is the LX570's AVS and getting around that. There are some good solutions outlined on IH8MUD that you can research and see if it's something you want to tackle.
@MrVanFosson Жыл бұрын
@@Ironman4x4America I was more wondering about the various brackets ironman developed? I understand the suspension i.e. shocks and springs. The work around for the AVS system has been figured out for the LX 570, just now putting all the right pieces together.

There's aftermarket tuning kits - shocks with custom springs as they are realized in 200 series. In Russia this kit costs 700usd(front shocks with springs, rear springs) you can install any aftermarket shocks. Torsion bars are should be removed.

Toyota's AHC is a great system and very much worth it to keep if it's still functioning. For some folks, it doesn't pencil out financially to service the AHC system when there is a component failure, so this is a reasonable secondary option that keeps the vehicle mobile.

I had these fitted to my 200 series and they were appalling even on sealed roads. The dealer gave me a full refund (Australia) as I made it VERY clear I wanted a near stock ride not one that made me piss blood after 10 minutes. I fitted Outback Armour adjustable shocks and it was like night and day. Regardless this is an informative well produced video.
