You had me rolling in laughter with "Balm of Gilead!" Great and very thorough, in-depth review. Well done, Sir! I own four versions of this very same watch: the all black case, the brown case/black bezel, black case with NY Islanders logo up top, and the all white case. The white one is an older model I snagged on eBay and the outer casing is a softer resin, not hard plastic. Kinda like a G-Shock. Guess they changed the original design because it wasn't cost effective. First time I've seen anyone explain and then demonstrate the Lap/Split display functions so I could understand it. More of a visual learner, am I. And I did not know the alarm had a snooze feature. Bazinga! Every watch has its purpose. Timex has been making watches for a very long time, my friend. I love this Timex Ironman Shock because the digits are larger, for my aging eyes. And, the digits are backlit for easy nighttime reading without sacrificing my night vision. A white LED on a watch works good as a flashlight in the dark, but it can be a nuisance to an amateur astronomer like myself. Whatever happened to the red or green LEDs of old?! I digress. Keep those good reviews a comin'. Also, Enjoy your morning cup of coffee!

Nice G-shock like Timex. I personally like Timex for their dress watches & Casio’s for their sport watches. I love the 38mm Timex weekender (specifically the green nato strap with the cream very bauhaus like minimal dial. Yes I like the ticking of a Timex!

I still have my Ironman Triathlon heart rate watch. Came with a chest strap that was very accurate. I could set an alarm to go off if my heart rate went over a certain bpm. Wish I could get a new chest strap transmitter for it.

@@adventureswithpaulandsally5516 Oh yes…that brings back memories! Timex was innovative. I myself had a Timex data bank watch that received input from one’s computer CRT screen. Those were the days!
