We were on holiday in Tenby until the Sat before the event. Respect for entering and attempting it, something I can only dream about.

In my book, as an avid sideline fan who considers these events as the best of the best, I say to you Dan that anyone and everyone who had the nerve, the stamina, the steel, the sheer bollocks (and women are included there, even if not in the literal sense) to even reach the start line makes EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU A WINNER!!! You are an amazing bunch of people.

@@IronDan2121 Please, oh please, pray tell of your IronMan story since '11 (how many did you enter and/or complete? And how much longer do you wish to continue? In recent years - frankly, since the Bolton IronMan started passing our street in '19, and thus got me interested - I've become such a fan of these events and more especially of you brave and bold entrants that it quickly became my favourite day of the year, just to stand and cheer. I'm gutted that said UK Ironman has now been scrapped for a more 70.3 (I mean I could have done one of those a few years back) Triathlon. No more cheering on of sheer supermen and women like you, Dan, and your ilk. Good luck in future to ya.

great effort, loved the journey, I managed a 14:04 my 6th IM and deffo the toughest !!! come back stronger

@PaulNicholls1968 great effort matey well done 👏. Managed 15.07 in 2015 and slower at 15.35 2016. Change training now and might not beat 15.07 but will finish next year. Well done again

Unlucky but I'm sure you'll get your 3rd medal next year. Ill be on the beach next year to hopefully get my first full distance medal.
