How lonely and quiet it feels without commentators. I don't want to imagine what goes inside the athlete's mind during the race. The longest I've raced in triathlon is an Olympic distance and it felt too heavy to me.

Its interesting that a few of the women they showed placed their feet directly into the cycling shoes as they mounted the bike, but all of the men placed their feet on top of the cycling shoes... I wonder why the difference? Placing your foot directly into the shoe if you can seems more efficient and a bit safer.
