Spanish is easier to pick up if you know Japanese because all of the vowel sounds are the same. It's usually the consconants and double consonant sounds in Japanese that you need to untrain yourself.

In Brazil we have the word "punheta" it has the same pronunciation and the meaning is also "jerk off" (and this is the only meaning). I wonder if there was a influence of one of the parts for this to happen lol.

I'm norwegian and I go back and forth from norwegian and english when thinking. It kinda depends on what I want to hear in my thoughts if that makes sense. Sometimes I think in scenes and scenarios and at those times the people I think about talk in the language they are supposed to.

Same with afrikaans and english for me. It becomes a hassle when talking to my grandparents because if i hesitate my brain autofills the english. My grnadmother unfortunately speaks no english at all

In Spain "acento" means either regional accent (like "scottish") or the stress of voice of a word. The ´ thing that you sometimes put in vowels is called tilde. The thingy at the top of the ñ is called a virgulilla.

​@reimasashi Not to disrespect Philippines but puñeta came before tagalog became a language. That where you guys took it from and gave it another meaning. This is nothing new since Puerto Rican have words from the taínos, like boriken or boricua, came from the tainos. English have french influence which is why it have some word similar to spanish. All in all, in some way, one language influence another or evolve thoughout the times. Thanks gods none of the languages have evolve to such level like brain rot english which for me is intolerable. Hopefully, kids in USA grow out of that phase and talking like that.

It usually happens to me that I speak English with my native Spanish grammar. HOWEVER, it also happens that I speak Spanish with English grammar, and people end up confused and correcting me. My life is a Supeingo/Eigo jouzu. AND I'M FLUENT IN BOTH!

puñeta sounds and have the exactly same meaning as in brazilian portuguese, punheta. The only difference is the NH istead of Ñ, but the sound of both "letters" is exactly the same. which is kinda interesting, since a lot of spanish countries use the word "paja" instead of puñeta.
