Winter is coming soon and we need to get ourselves set up to get some major projects completed. The Schroll 32 Coupe has been waiting its turn for a while and it's next on the chopping block. The first step is to blow the car into 100 pieces and start the process of rebuilding. Larry had started installing an Oldsmobile Rocket J2 engine at some point in the 60 years of ownership, but thankfully never got around to build any mounts. The engine is just sitting in the car and takes no effort to remove. Before removing the body Matt and Mike take some time to install bracing to help fixture the body and keep it rigid. The doors on the 32 shut beautifully and do not sag, but the door gap on both sides is not equal. While installing the bracing Matt uses a ratchet to pull the body together and holds it in place with the bracing. After everything getting braced and the engine sliding out so smooth, of course the body puts up one hell of a fight!

Also this channel captures the "I better do this pretty fast so my janky ass shit doesn't get me killed" side to car building that many others don't. The "oh god" when the ratchet strap slipped a touch echoed in my soul.

Matt..could you please inform Mr.Delorean that many of us would like to hear more stories..was fascinating to hear him recollect the past, ( 12/12 show), with your car, but mostly i would like to hear the stories about Woodward and the cars..and the times..part of the greatest generation flexing their spirit after a trying war era..your channel has grown in many ways..and this is one great example..stay safe and healthy..

Good Morning Matt & Mike ( Tis Sunday morning here right now. ) Well, another Hot Rod Is taken into the "Reconstructive Ward" ! You guys work well together wether mike is behind the camera or wrenching. That make doing things like this fun and rewarding. Noting the door gap was a good place to start in the process of resetting the body back to factory shape and fit. This will be a nice car when finally put back on the road. Thanx fur bringing us along for the ride. Be safe & Well EVERYBODY

We have some. Fire extinguishers create giant messes and are for when the fire becomes more than just something you can easily put out with a damp rag or water. I don’t want the shop filled and covered from an extinguisher. If you’ve ever used one you know how much of a mess they make.

Those aren't friction shocks. They are Ford lever acting Hydraulic shocks and something similar was used from Model A through 1948. My dad bought brand new ones for his 34 Ford coupe race car. I thought the new style tubular shocks like most hot rodders, racers and airplanes used looked lots neater and said "I wish you'd get the tubular kind". He answered "OK, then you want to pay for them right"? Needless to say that was the end of that. haha
