Carl Sabatka i knew a guy back in the 80s that had a 32 5 window with a 40 dash and column with the shifter flipped to the left and adapted to a 4 speed . When I asked him why he said it was so you could shift without taking your arm from around your girl

Wheels and tires fit the car perfect. If it were my car (I know, you hear that all the time) I believe I would take the spirit of the original build and refine it. You know, use the square roll bar but make sure the welds and design are clean. Same with the rear suspension. Run the same arms but redo the mounting and such. I'm not a big fan of the "Rusty/Patina" look and would probably paint it but more in the backyard garage style. Single stage paint, smooth but not perfect body work. A clean car but not pristine. But then it is your car and not mine. As long as you enjoy the end product is what really matters. I am looking forward to the build.
