yesterday before i seen this video i stared to mark down my bench like this on paper as i was doing sets of 10 x 3 and did not want to lose count ,what came to mind was last time i did this about 35 years ago was in prison marking in the days ,weeks ,mts steal on steal ,just glad i got away from that life and now with kids and grandkids that would of never been born had i not changed ,just goes to show how important you really are and the sooner we realise this the better ,for some we are the only chance they will ever have so try do whats best for them and take a look at the bigger picture every now and then. when your going true shit its not only for you that you get over it even do you could not see it yet ,all the best

Muscle recruitment.... 225lbs benched take it off, drop, bounce off chest and push. Maybe at best 75% of muscle usage and 25% momentum. Take off, lower, pause, push .... 99.9% muscle usage, momentum is out, 25% non recruitment muscle from before is now recruited to perform the lift.

How much rest between sets?
@StrengthHacksCoaching
@StrengthHacksCoaching 3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the exercise as well as how close to failure you're going. Generally 5-10 minutes when approaching a max, 3 minutes between hypertrophy sets on lower movements, 2 minutes for hypertrophy upper, 90 seconds for small accessories

Any tips on elbow pain when benching? You ever dealt with this?
@ardeof
@ardeof 3 жыл бұрын
I had it when benching daily (not recommended), ended up with tennis elbow for a while (it's recovered to where it doesn't happen anymore, even with heavier bench press). I hear krill oil/fish oil helps with ligament soreness. Julius mentioned Krill oil a while back. I'd also look into your posture when benching, might be a contributing factor.

Huge huge fan! but just a thought. High weight and big reps didn't really work out the first time, why go back. It's got to be a miracle just to feed and maintain your body. Do you think you might be slowly burning out until you hit a point where you're forced to rest and rehab vs continuing to perform and grow?
