Were you impressed by the results from the Nanlite Forza 150??
@DelonYeoh2 жыл бұрын
Actually impressed by it's result. I couldn't affordthe Nanlite so I purchased a China made Andoer CY200 which is 200watts and runs on battery as well...

The video test I've been waiting for! Now I know what the Forza 150 is capable of in daylight conditions. Thank you!

After observing the rise of COB LEDs over tungsten my sense is that there's about a 5:1 ratio increase in light output per watt. So a 100W COB is equivalent to a 500W tungsten, etc. This is just a rule of thumb remember and takes no account of other factors, but a useful starting point for quick comparisons. Has anyone else come up with their own back of the napkin metric?

This is awesome! Great way to think about light conversions!

Hi Andrew, great run down on the Forza 150 for outside. Gosh it’s versatility when inside will be huge!
@AndrewMurphyFilms3 жыл бұрын
It sure is! And for such a small footprint it's perfect for run and gun shooters that don't want to lug around a tonne of gear!

Just ordered the Forza 150B and the 60cm and 120cm softboxes. Can't wait to experiment. I bet the 120cm is nice in indoor controlled lightning but probably also when shooting outside on a cloudy day?
@AndrewMurphyFilms2 жыл бұрын
You' might struggle with the 120cm softbox outdoors as it diffuses the light so much more. Indoors it will work amazingly but

It was fun experiment for sure, based on your experiment, it's apparent that it can be done, but you need to have some powerful lights just to make sure have them when you need them. Nice efforts for the video and info. Can be a deciding factor for some people willing to purchase these lights.

Hello bro! Amazing video! I wanted to ask you, the Forza 150 and the Forza 200 are like the same price on B&H, so I think the 200 would be a better choice right?
@AndrewMurphyFilms2 жыл бұрын
I prefer the 150 as it's much more compact!

hi Andrew i had bought 2 apurture 60x lights and found they weren'tbright enough for wedding video. I really liked that they are portable and wanted to ask your opinion of what two lights you would recommend for wedding video thanks!
@jeffb88247 ай бұрын
Did you end up getting the nanlite forza 150’s? I’m in the same situation- trying to find something brighter than apurture 60s, easy to move around and battery powered. Thanks!
@DelonYeoh2 жыл бұрын
beside using a reflector on the 150 watts, is it possible to use a 20 inches beauty dish? Would the brightness be the same?
@AndrewMurphyFilms2 жыл бұрын
You will lose some light using a beauty dish because it has to reflect off 2 surfaces before hitting your talent.

This was perfect bro. Do you have anything at dusk? Do you reckon that this setup would work perfect at dusk for couple sessions and also just after sunset and at night and also inside venues?
@AndrewMurphyFilms2 жыл бұрын
Yeah absolutely! It’s an amazing run and gun light especially now they’ve released the Forza 150B. That’s now my go to run and gun light

It will work with 14.8V battery?
@AndrewMurphyFilms2 жыл бұрын
Sure will. Just at a reduced brightness
@jeffb88242 жыл бұрын
Now that you have the official Nanlite battery handle, which do you prefer? The Nanlite or the Cametv v mount that you used? Thanks!
@AndrewMurphyFilms2 жыл бұрын
So they are kind of different. The handle with 14.8v will only give 80% output. Where as the cametv mount with 2x 14.8v will give you 100% output. However, I usually opt for the handle cause its much more convienient.
@jeffb88242 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewMurphyFilms I would have thought the official handle would give 100% power. Is the 150 significantly brighter than the 60? I shoot outdoor fitness videos and use the 60, but often it's not quite bright enough. I need the portability and power options as I'm often hiking in. Would you recommend the 150 or something else? Thanks for your response and great content!

great video but I think the separation light at kzbin.info/www/bejne/harKl2ivo6abZs0 is too intense.
