This light seems so great at being a 650w fresnel replacement like the Forza 60's have done for my 300w Fresnels but kinda a shame the cost is so crazy high despite using a single yoke and still looking a little cheap, just £150-£200 more you get a Forza 300 and 150w-200w COB lights are now in the £250-£350 range, this lights a hard buy at £450 but has the design I need.

I agree about it being a 650 replacement, hopefully the Bi-colour is good, then finally, I will have something that replaces a 650 compact.

Yeah def want to see a review on a bicolor which for my workflow would be a much better fit then daylight only… surprised to see the color metrics improve when dimmed… I don’t understand why they have not released a 50 degree lens in either this mount of the full size Bowen’s mount projection…. A 19 and 36 is great but would love to see a 50 and for CRLS work a 14.

Thanks for the review. I wasn't sure how the 150 fit in the Nanlite family. Is the Forza 150 quieter than the Forza 200?

Currently the forza 60b2 is the same price as the forza 150. I am interested in buying one of those lenses for shooting with this smaller projector. Would you recommend mend the 150 or the 60b2? My other lights are 2 nanotubes 30c and forza 300.
@gaffergear Жыл бұрын
I had a 150 with the projector for a while, but I sold it because I found the combination to be too bright. My go-to is the 60c, but if you can't afford that the 60b2 is a great option

Would the stirrup rotate to inverted position if you cut or filed off the top lip at the back of the head? Considering doing this to my 60b as I always seem to be fiddling with attachments on and off to invert the yoke

Hi. On nanlite's website it says "27,960lux @ 1m(with reflector)" What is the reflector and is it really that high lux at 1m?
@gaffergear2 жыл бұрын
At 1m you will most likely be focused directly into an overlapping hot spot. Most of these types of reflectors have crazy readings at 1m. But a totally different story at 3m.

Hey Andrew, how do you make a mark of your name like " L O C K" on your equipments? are they some kind of sticker? I've been thinking to mark my equipments as I do subrent, but don't know a more permanent way other than clear tapes. Yours look fairly good. Thanks in advance!

It’s spray paint with a stencil. Most people get a few sizes to fit everything from a light accessory upto a road case

I got mine a couple of months ago. Yoke is a huge step up, no wire to control box when mounted is very nice, 0.01 green/magenta step adjustment was a much needed change compared to p300c and double the brightness. Using it on every shoot now.

Would You Review the amaran f22c mattes?
@gaffergear2 жыл бұрын
I hope so, Aputure doesn't want me reviewing Amaran because it's their lower quality range, but I'm trying to convince them that I think these mat lights are good enough for gaffers. The other options with DMX on the market are not affordable

You put the gobo in the wrong hole :) That's for the iris. You should put the gobo right next and tight to the up cutters handle. There will be sharp as f***!

And that way you can set sharp the cutters and the gobo, almost exactly same time.

Fan channels are one of the most annoying things. There’s some great small manual boards but you can’t skip channels which means you end up with 1/2 then being wasted on fans.
