Lexus service is second to none. Maybe it’s just my car, but I complained about a small rattle on my 2025 NX and they elevated all the way to people in Japan. The build quality is way better than a Tesla and my range anxiety would never let me get pure EV. The only con here is this a smaller interior than the RX.
@manjotsandhu9539Ай бұрын
Yea because it is smaller vehicle than lexux rx, get the RX if you want more interior space
@eden2011112 күн бұрын
Are you really complaining about the smaller interior space knowing the nx is a smaller midsize car? 🥴

Brock, I could not agree more with you about the wisdom of a PHEV like this one over a Tesla or any other pure EV. I've loved my own hybrid ES for the past 4 years for the same reasons. Then again, I'm a long-time fan of Lexus. Thanks, again, for another thorough review from beautiful NC.

Better off with the standard hybrid NX 350h. The price jump is too much for the plug in.

One thing I don’t like is the location of parking camera. It will be much better if it is located by your hand rather than hidden in the corner. And it is bit noisy on gas compared to my Toyota Avalon. Otherwise it is a very nice car.

Well done showing the dash functions. I wonder how long the wait is to get a vehicle

Have you tried the FSport version of the NX450h+? I have one on order and currently drive the 2025 NX350h Executive trim. I am so torn between the real leather seats with the Mark Levinson sound system in the executive trim vs the FSport handling package with the variable suspension however you lose the ML sound system and the real leather seats. 🤯 Which would you choose? Edit: I changed my order to the executive trim model with panoramic moonroof and ML sound system and the real leather seats…I just want to be comfortable 😎

How the hell do you custom order a car with the features you want?? I went to Lexus dealership in Houston and they said I can't do that that whatever is on the lot is the only thing available..
@TechJunky77712 күн бұрын
@@eden20111Any dealership can custom order what you want. You just have to put a deposit and then wait for it to be built. Your dealer is lying to you. Either go back and call them out on it or go to a different dealership that actually wants your business.

Maybe if it wasn’t so damn expensive and so slow compared to a Model Y
@serpentsilver6323Ай бұрын
So slow? It sits right in between the model y standard and long range 0-60. You make it sound like it's 0-60 is 8-10 secs when it is 5.5-6 sec comparable to a y other than the performance model. Not to mention it is a compact SUV not a sports car. 😂

It says battery is 100% but ev miles in 19 miles. Where did the other 18 ev miles go? Do you have to have ac stereo and all features turned off to get full ev capabilities?
@rickb2963 күн бұрын
LOL It doesn't say battery is at 100%. You are looking at the scale 0-100%. Usable EV range is the green bar. HV (hybrid) range is the blue bar. It has about half EV battery capacity showing, plus the AC fan symbol is on, so the 19 mile range is about right. I agree that the display is a bit confusing.

Expensive if you are poor, nice car, Tesla is so dull, remember total recall with Johnny cab that’s Tesla
@wickedpawn5437Ай бұрын
Be aware that this car will give you MUCH LESS mileage per kWh on EV mode than a Tesla. The reason is the extra dead weight of the conventional engine plus the gas that you have to carry around. Driving the NX on EV mode will cost almost twice as much per mile than a Tesla on electricity cost alone.

The RAV4 Prime XSE is a more practical choice with the same drive train if you want to save some money. But it’s not a luxury car so some may want to pay more for the Lexus. They are both a blast to drive. If you want a BEV there are lots of good choices besides the Y. I don’t want my money making its way to Musk and thus to Trump.
@SV-xs1pt2 ай бұрын
Model y is 30k to 35k with tax credit. This is double at msrp 66k with dealer add ons and trims it is 70k. Is it really worth it? And on top of that you’re gonna be putting premium gas so even more cost. I’m debating between the 2. Range anxiety is there but I could charge for like 10 min on long drives. Tesla has at least 180 miles at 80% so for the most part that is more than enough. And there wouldn’t need to be as maintenance cost as well. What do y’all think?
@infpsych2 ай бұрын
That’s if you make under $150K. I debated between the two. Also the build quality of Tesla is horrible! My range anxiety would never…

Get a model Y. As someone that actually has a Tesla, I can say this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It’s all about the amount of moving parts. A traditional gas car has about 7,000 moving parts. Average EV has about 800 moving parts. Hybrid has approximately 7,500 moving parts as it’s a combination of both. More moving parts = more problems in the long run. Do your self a favor and buy a gas car or a Tesla. Don’t go the hybrid route as they are giving you marginal gas car mixed with low grade battery. Save your money and speak with someone that actually knows what they are talking about.
@HowToCarGuy21 күн бұрын
How many miles does your “800 moving parts” Tesla have? My 7,500,458,321,569,003 moving parts Prius has 221,000 miles on it. Never had one minute of trouble. What does “in the long run” mean??? Because if my 221,000 mile Prius is close to “in the long run” then will it start breaking any minute?
