I bought a yamaha smax 155 recently with 14.3k miles and as a new rider, I just recently bought my riding gear for it so ima take it out to practice on it soon. I'm pretty damn nervous and scared of riding it, but really excited at the same time. It's a weird feeling that's hard to explain.

ive been on the fence about buying a genuine brand scooter as im typically a honda guy but seeing this at 25k miles running better then my tao tao did brand new has sold me on the brand

Genuines are great scooters. Manufactured in Taiwan (for the most part) If you go on the new side you’ll get a 2 year warranty unlimited miles What Model Tao Tao do you have?

A little over a year ago I switched to genuine because Yamaha discontinued the 50cc line in North America. My genuine roughhouse is much faster than my Yamaha Zuma Fx50.

I wouldn't mind seeing a video comparing the cost of upgrading Roughhouse 50 Sport to do 60MPH vs buying a Buddy 125 or buddy Kick. Or, ya know, something similar to that.

That’s a great idea for a video. We will put something in the works for it

Just goes to show you how strong the buddy's are !! Great longevity... I know my buddy 50 will last a long long time especially with the two-stroke engine and regular maintenance

That’s a bad ass Buddy 170 and an excellent example to show the longevity of the Buddy brand. I will be buying my Buddy from you next spring for sure just not sure which model yet. I watch all the so as of now I’m leaning towards the 170z

Picked up a 170i Hooligan (2022) last spring... love it. But I have to do a bit of riding before I can get 25k on it. Enjoyed the vid. Keep it up!

Nice video. Sows the Buddy in severe use (not a play thing) And could still be used as a daily with probably less than 150 bucks of repair.

my biggest issue with the buddy 170 is the location of the oil cooler & oil filter without a protective cage to protect them; my next biggest issue is the charging/electrical system is stretched a bit with the electronic fuel injection & it's controller; on the flip side...I don't like that the hooligans lack a dedicated oil filter which allows contaminated oil to circulate

Love how 25k miles on these are high but a helix / morphs or whatever that's not so bad.

My only gripe is I hoped you were cleaning it up as you said. Not a big gripe though. Merry Christmas.

good afternoon what is your estimate of selling price of that used scooter?
@SiegfriedsMotorwerx2 жыл бұрын
In the current condition I’d estimate $700, given the markets up like crazy as well

Putting an aftermarket exhaust, or chopping the muffler on a fuel injected bike is ignorant, and can lessen the performance, unless there's programming done. Even if something like a power commander was set up, it would provide very little gain for the money on a scooter, and even on some motorcycles. Assuming no engine mods.
