I own the 125 Urbana love the bike but if I can get a hold of a 170 I like to see the feel and feel the feel that's got to be an incredible difference in picking up the pace even though the 125 does right smoothly like you said unbelievable on the 170.

Got a Suzuki 2014 dl 1000 with 102,000km on it. Weighs 220kg. So it's lighter. Makes 105hp. So that's more. Has 100nm of tourque. Again, more. It cost me $9,5000 used. I'm 5'10" and can flat foot it all day. It has a liquid cooled 1037cc v twin. So no cooked legs or trashed rocker covers when you drop it. It has a 6 speed box. Switch able traction control with memory so when you turn it off then back on again, your settings stay. It has abs. And a comprehensive dash with two trip meters, instantaneous consumption, consumption, range, ambient temperature, digital speedo and analogue tacho. It has thumb buttons to access these functions with gloves. And a whole lot more. Did I mention it goes like stink? Well mine does, and I give it heaps. Laugh if you like. Look down your nose coz it's a poverty brand Suzuki. But, it ticks all the boxes your BMW does, does it lighter faster cheaper. And it doesn't break, ever! Just saying. Happy trails

This is pretty much selling it to me. My Kawasaki Vulcan S has been having an intermittent electrical fault that the garage has not been able to replicate or permanently fix and they've got an NC700 and NC700X for sale there and having the serious thought about part trading in the Kwak for something else. I absolutely love my Vulcan S, but can't have my commute vehicle breakdown on me at random. And everything about this is selling me as a good commuter bike. The RPM limit is not a deal breaker for me because I'm not going crazy on the throttle for my commute, because of fuel economy. I also sometimes have to take rough back roads, so I suspect it'll be better for them, because they are rough on my Vulcan S, which doesn't have much travel on the rear suspension. I've seen people say the NC700 has no soul. but I can live with that, because it'd be my day-to-day bike. Though I know I'd probably miss my Vulcan S, which is such a nice bike to ride.

99% it's a chunk of manufacturing shrapnel in the tank, getting sucked up as it shakes around. That's why it worked after you kicked it over. 🤪 Bad diaphragms holding the needle. Bad tapers on the needle causing it to stick open or closed. Scrap metal in the gas float chamber. Clogged jets. Faulty wiring connections. Faulty, barely working, failed QA parts cobbled into a quick sale. Bad ignition module overheating or just a bad component in it. Improper CVT pulley angles. Bad stator and ignition timing sensor position. It is a total dice roll with those scooters. But, if the issue can be correctly diagnosed and fixed, the dice still roll in your favor. That was a total novelty scooter. I had one for $1200, shipped, which easily went 68 mph on 16" tires and lasted over 4 years, without an issue. Sadly, they don't make them anymore. It was an "Ita 150 turbo" xingyue scooter. Loved the look and feel of it.

I'd want 0-60mph in like 8 seconds or less, and a top speed of like 85 or 90mph. What would be needed for that? Is there a step-thru scooter that would be able to do that?

I have over 60000 miles on my 2001 Reflex and even though it just crapped out it's stator, I still love the thing. When I purchased the scooter 5 years ago it had 14500 miles on it. It has been a wonderful machine. Waiting on the stator and the new gasket to come in so I can get some more riding in before the snow flies!!😁

I live in a hilly area. Does this improve the climbing capability? I’m 200 pounds and the bike seems to climb at 30mph stock. I was hoping for 40ish.
