I LOVE generic coffee machines there's "dupes" or unbranded versions of expensive ones

This video is proof that the grinder is having a greater impact than the espresso machine. It also shows that cheap machine are getting better and better.

Also shows that the best of the best is only a lil bit better for your end product but the repeatability is kinda where the fancy machines shine that and durability

These videos make me glad I bought my machine second-hand. Exact same plastic tamper spoon, exact same filter, probably the exact same internals as this one too. Except Breville asks almost $200 for a new one.

I liked the energy. Would like a more review as is without changes, and taste the espresso plain but the milk drink was probably the way to go.

This was my first machine but it was the previous version of it. It did a decent job but it would not run long enough for a 30 second shot. The longest it would run is like 20 seconds so I had to push the button twice which was annoying
@hssssssssssss18 сағат бұрын
you might be able to enter into a programing mode, which saves the timing setting into the button. Try holding the double button until the led flashes and tap it again after 30s
@CarsTechWood17 сағат бұрын
@ I tried this and the programming mode only went to like 20 seconds max.

With modern esspresso being with lower pressure higher ratios and all the debate about temperature, there is no doubt that cheap machines can do good work of used properly

I was gifted one of these brands, not the exact one though, it's the Pro series. Anyways, it's my first espresso machine ever but noticed it brews double the normal shot amount. I've tried to reset it but it still shoots double. Any suggestions?

Hi sorry if you’ve done a vid on this already but do you have any recs for an espresso machine preferably with a built in grinder under $500? I’m thinking something breville maybe? Need a good grad school gift to myself!!!
@Ryantagcoffee5 күн бұрын
You can sometimes find the breville barista express for around $500! However, another option that you can get right now for that price is the breville bambino and baratza esp - this would be a separate machine and grinder but in my opinion it is better than the express

I googled it and some claim it's 52mm portafilter. Some says it's 51mm portafilter. You stated 54mm, which one is correct ? can you post the link to the portafilter you used in the video ? Because the same size portafilter may has different thickness of the three ears :)
@Ryantagcoffee3 күн бұрын
Hey I never said it was a 54 mm, it’s a 51 mm - but just be warned there are also different types of 51 mm designs that may not fit - I believe the gevi ones don’t work

Being made of plastic is not ok as you said! Microplastics are horrible for your body when ingested and these cheap machines are fully made of plastics, including their hot water lines where the higher priced ones are copper so if you care about your body save your money and buy a decent machine or use a flair or a Pavoni or something without harming your hormones and body!!! Stay healthy drink non toxic coffee Purity!!!
@Chloe117384 күн бұрын
Returns are so marginal on expensive espresso machines. I’ve tasted espresso dialed in on 100$ machine vs a 4000$ machine. The difference is marginal and those expensive machines are definitely for aficionados. If you’re predominantly making milk heavy drinks, don’t get an expensive machine.

I got a really cheap machine, and the results are pretty decent. It has mechanical switches, so i avoid questionable cheap elctronics, it gives me more control over shot lenght, and it's potentially easier to mod (i'm specially looking into better temp control).
