can you go into a bit of detail of where you started and how you learned that you loved it
@kinmyname9 ай бұрын
@@sym0255 Yeah so I started with this job as my first job ever one week after I turned 18 in September 2022. I took both entrepreneurship and accounting in all four years of high school so I knew my career would involve running a business somewhere in the future. I started out as a cashier but quickly got involved within both my store and my company. December of 2022 I was opted into training for a Shift Leader promotion and in April of 2023 I was officially given the title. Before officially being given the Shift Leader position I had already been working under my previous Operations Manager and learning everything necessary to run my business. One month after being given my title of Shift Leader I was opted into the company training for an Operations Manager and that took a minimum of three months to complete and I was actually able to accelerate it so exactly one week before my one year anniversary with the company I was given the title of Operations Manager. I am currently working out of state for my company and they’re paying for all of my mileage, housing, utilities, its really about the people you work with, making progress everyday, and trusting a company to do the right thing for you. I am very lucky to be with the company i’m with and I make sure to bring my 110% everyday with me to work. Like I said I took business classes all throughout highschool so this has been in the works for a long time and i’m finally being able to live it out in real time. I plan on continuing my career with my company and I am going to be an executive or VP for this company.

Have you ever heard of business management technology? If so what’s the difference between business management vs business management technology
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway6712 жыл бұрын
Business Technology Management (BTM) Degrees are pretty new. It's essentially learning skills that will allow you to help businesses transition, and be managed through tech. You'll learn about managing software and systems that help business manage data, growth, customer management, marketing, etc. This is different than something like IT, which is focused on running a businesses communication network. Business Technology is more focused on the tech that's being used to actually grow, market and run the business. A business management degree is your classic degree where you'll learn how to run the business. I will add that I don't know of any BTM degrees that can be accelerated. But a traditional business management degree is one of the easiest degrees to accelerate. Hope this helps!
@BigWaveKennels2 жыл бұрын

I love the thought! Here's a little twist that might blow your mind... When you get a second major (or 3rd, or 4th) you don't have to re-take any of the classes that you've already taken. Most majors require the exact same core classes. So when you go for a second major, you usually only need a handful of additional credits. I got a Marketing degree. If I went back to get another business degree, I'd only need 4 or 5 more classes for the second major. Which can easily be done in under a month. Which makes this crazy! If you can do the first major in under a year, and each additional major in an additional month or 2... It's crazy how fast you can get it done!

Basically, choose your career.. then get the degree that opens those doors. Hope that makes sense.

I’ve been considering doing a bachelors degree in business management in Monaco, however there’s a focus you need to choose so i was wondering which of the three; International finance, global business or digital business development, would be the best to ultimately get into investment banking? I am also considering doing a masters in international business law to open up a wider range of expertise in the field and possibly as a consultant/negotiator. Do you think that would be helpful? (For context masters is free since Finland provides free education but honors track bachelors is around 14k a year in Monaco)

Great questions. Unfortunately there isn't 1 single answer that's perfect for everyone. I highly suggest mapping out your career goals, and even look at specific companies you'd like to work for... then choose the degrees that will help you reach your goals.
@Anonymoose66G Жыл бұрын
If you want to get into investment banking wouldn't quantitative finance be the best masters? Also a minor or double major in IT, Accounting or economics wouldn't hurt. Just know what your getting yourself into, 80 hour work weeks, stressed out of your mind. If all you care about is making money for early years in your career and later on focus on relationships ECT, it's good but know it's pros and cons, research what you actually do in an average day and ask people what their experience has been.
@svieste9812 жыл бұрын
Getting a degree within a year is time and money efficient; however, would that make you less knowledgeable of the major since you rushed through? Just a curious thought that came to mind
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway6712 жыл бұрын
Great question. The short answer is yes. The faster you study, the less information you retain. But I will say this... Most of what we learn in college is outdated. It takes years to publish a textbook, so by the time it's in circulation it's usually already outdated. This is one reason I'm not overly concerned with retaining what is learned in school. Once you get a job, you'll be trained by your employer... then you'll become an expert in your field as you practice your skill. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge advocate for learning. But there are so many resources for learning that are better than what you learn in school. Hope that makes sense. Seriously, great question!
@paulinematengu59132 жыл бұрын
@@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 I can add to that as well, We actually hone the skills by practical work once you get the job. If you accelerate you must understand that you must retain skills that you will later develop over time in your job. We don't really learn how to work in college, usually without a job the soft skills just literally disappear like you never even learnt them unless u keep learning while you wait for a job. we learn soft skills to implement later...The key is to get the degree to get the job! and then in your job you are going to put the skills into action. So accelerating should be good. Unless u don't trust yourself to retain what you need for the job in a shorter period then u can opt for longer learning instead.

I’m from Germany born and raised. Currently I work in a large bank as a financial advisor and had worked my way up here. I’m 35 years old and don’t want to go to college for years. So my question is. Are there any program which take a year? I saw your videos about 1 year associate degree but when I look them up I only find 2 years And also there’s some rules for us international that we can obtain opt visa after studying. Is it also if we chose to study online? Because it would be more affordable for me to study online while in Germany and when I earn my degree look for a job since international students aren’t allowed to work while studying

So a business Management Degree falls under the umbrella of Business Administration. Hope that makes sense. And yes, this should get you into most Business based Master's Degrees.

Can we go in information technology after graduation from business administration
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway6716 ай бұрын
It depends on the school, but a lot of schools will let you into a IT Master's program with a business undergrad.

If that’s true then it’s cool but how good will it do you when you are put to the test and they are paying you and you can’t figure your job ourt
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway6719 ай бұрын
Even 4 years in school isn't going to prep you for most jobs. By the time curriculum is approved for schools to teach, it's at least 5 years old already. That's why employers train employees upon hiring, regardless of level of education. Having said that, you're still learning everything when you hack a degree. You just don't have to do it on the schools schedule. It doesn't take 4 years to learn what they're teaching. The 4 year model is basically their business plan to keep you enrolled longer.

I'm sure many certificate programs can be accelerated. But not all.

Can I get a job with an associate degree with business management
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Жыл бұрын
Definitely, but you can get better jobs with Bachelor's Degrees. And with Degree Hacking, you can actually earn a Bachelor's in less time than an Associate's Degree. Sounds crazy, but it's true.

Yes, but it depends on the school you'll attend for your master's. You need to make sure you know exactly what they require to get into the Finance program before you dive in.

Does this managment degree you are talking about apply to a managment degree that is concentrated on organizational behavior and human resource management as well?
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Жыл бұрын
It's different, but this can definitely be done for HR management, and organizational behavior as well. Feel free to reach out and tell me more about your situation. I'm happy to give advice... (ryan@9monthgrad.com)

I have that degree too. Pretty useless I think
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Жыл бұрын
It's a popular degree. I actually really like these degrees, but there are so many other people that have the same major. So you definitely need something else to separate you from that crowd.

I do like Business Management Degrees. Unfortunately Framingham State University doesn't allow you to accelerate your degree in under a year.

BA (Hons) Business Management.. here,what is the meaning of BA here?
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway6712 жыл бұрын
BA usually means Business Administration.
@royreidy2058 Жыл бұрын
BA stands for Bachelor of Arts, and then BSc stands for Bachelor of Science. (Hons) means that the degree is at honours level. If you don’t pass the requirements for the degree with honours, you’ll be awarded an ordinary degree, without honours.

Is business management same as business administration
@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Жыл бұрын
Business Administration is just the general term for most Business Degrees. Most schools will label their programs like the examples below... "Business Administration - Business Management" "Business Administration - Marketing" "Business Administration - Accounting" Hope that makes sense.

@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Жыл бұрын
Having a degree is just step 1. Most people don't realize... Applying for jobs, having a killer resume, and crushing your interviews are all skills that need to be developed. Become a pro in those areas, and you'll get amazing jobs. Then, become great at your job, and you'll keep your job. The good news is, you already have the degree. Just refine the other stuff and you'll reach your goals!
@Anonymoose66G Жыл бұрын
If your not getting interviews then your resume is probably dogshit, watch a few KZbin videos and fix that. If your getting interviews and still not landing a job then work on your interview skills which takes practice however you can also watch a few KZbin videos which may be helpful.
