I 100% recommend these batteries. Just because they are generic, doesn't mean they are any lesser quality than DJI. This one performed beautifully, just the same as the DJI. It is important to note the capacity is slightly lower, but it doesn't effect flight time much.

I have two generic batteries in my old phantom 3 standard and they last just as long as the official battery, but I don’t think I’d put 3rd party batteries in my p4p or p4pv2.0 simply because DJI May lock them out on an update after purchasing- but as for the quality itself, my experience has been they work just as good as the “official” ones. They all are made in Chinese factories anyway, and depending on the brand, some may even be made in the same factory contracted to make the official DJI batteries!

Yes, do this setup again. I love your reactions to the "moster in the woods". I'd be freaking out too, but there would be no video proof. Therefore, I would deny ever being scared. Just ask yourself this, if the generic had the name Duracell on it and the DJI OEM had Made In China on it, would you feel differently about using a generic?

Thanks for the compare test between generic (5350mAH) and OEM (5870mAH) battery for the P4P. The part you did'nt compare is the life extending controls on the batteries...perhaps the OEM will run more cycles (full charge to discharge is one cycle) to end of life than the generic. Then that would be a fuller comparison. Understand that is hard to put into a video.

what you forgot to mention is the Generic Drone Battery is heavier then the dji, not sure how it will effect the flying.

Ya the range on the p3 standard is pretty bad. Even the dji spark with controller is better. But the standard was my first big boy drone and will always love it

Thanks, Great information - I use my Phantom 3 Pro about twice a day / 5 days a week for Home Inspections. I fly about 10 to 12 minutes a flight (twice a day on average), I keep 4 batteries in the case and one in the Drone (So 5 on hand). With all that said, 4 @ $640 vs $320 and only losing about 5 minutes of flight per battery - not worth getting the DJI. Thanks Nick

I have thought about these batteries many times. But I just can't do it. The risk to a $1499 drone is not worth the worry that something could go horribly wronge. I'd like too, but try as I might, I can't justify it.

I had a very puffed up batter & the time display and what the actual flight u actually have will be off by several minutes. My drone crashed as it was landing, even the DJI app reported that there was 7 minutes of flight time left. Basically, the motors cut off in mid landing 15 feet in the air. The camera broke off and the repairs would've costed me $800. Just buy a new battery

I was going to order 2 of the generic batteries off amazon but ended up ordering a oem one. Scared that the generic would fail during flight. Let us know how they hold up after a while. Not many videos about the generic ones for P4P here.

Nothing2see. I have 5 of the after market batteries in my P3. Other than they fit extremely tight, I have never had any issues with them. They have probably 60 charges on them. I picked them up for right at $100 per pair. I won't waste my money on OEM batteries EVER again. I would't be one bit surprised to learn that they are made at the same damn factory.

Just my opinion, I probably wouldnt skimp on the cheap batteries with a high dollar investment like that, now if it were a cheaper drone, say a first gen parrot bebop, generic batteries all day.

Trust me on this, DJI will void the warranty if a battery malfunctions and the battery is not an official DJI battery. Not worth it to me to go generic.

I would stay away from these generic batteries. I use DJI phantoms for my professional mapping work and the pin connectors are the ones that fail first. You can check on amazon for the reviews. Luckily, I did not have any that failed but after examining the pins, I came to the conclusion that they are not safe (especially since I fly over water at 400'). Be aware.

I use Generic in my Phantom 3 Pro and they perform great, the only real difference is the power light is less bright.I also had to return original battery from my P4P, because they were defective, the Generics are good, I use them.

@@onehappydawg i have the same feeling. I have a generic high capacity battery and i must say it works great. Didnt have any problems yet. But you never know. I use the generic battery for low over the ground work.
