I have a 20 exp max with the readylift 3/2 lift. Same situation you mentioned. Have 4 kids and go to the beach all the time here in Texas. The need for a capable 4x4 is there. I will say make sure you either have or get one with the locking diff. Went through some mud and framed it on one side because I don’t have the locking rear.

everything you said, Ben....why I dropped my 2019 Exp. MAX and went to the Jeep JT Rubicon. It's a tight fit for 4, but with a Smartcap on the bed & 35's, I know I'll be able to handle anything on our adventures. Great work as always, keep it up sir.

Ford will be introducing an all new 2025 Expedition sometime this Fall. New front end, new multifunctional tailgate, all new interior, and supposedly a hybrid version based off the Powerboost F150. And don't forget it has all aluminum body.

Those larger tires and that little poke make this suv look significantly better. I'd actually consider buying it if Ford would just offer the optional fold out flat work surface of the F150 in this suv. I am considering the luxury pickup instead of an suv because of that work surface. I would use it all the time to bring my home office mobile. Oh well. But this custom Expedition is sharp!

I like it, would totally get that package but a different color. The only thing I don’t like is that big iPad setting on the dash, it looks out of place.

These tires are actually 33.8” I upgraded the whole suspension & lifted the wife’s Suburban and put these exact tires on. Thing is a beast now. It tows our 30’ travel trailer with 4 kids and all our camping gear like a champion. Expeditions are DEATH TRAPS and pure plasticky garbage!

I always wondered why they don't make an Explorer or expedition "raptor." Based on their names alone, a raptor version would be fitting in my mind Edit: I didn't realize they made a timberline version. I'll check it out because I'm curious

I am a diehard Ford owner but I could never recommend in good faith a Ford Expedition as a family car in good faith knowing how poorly the Expedition did in the IIHS crash tests. The safety cage is subpar, and could put your family in jeopardy. Until they fix that, I’d stay away from the Expedition.

@@michaelsheedy not based on the IIHS tests. Yes, the Expedition is heavier than the Escape, and one would assume the bigger vehicle with more mass would do better, but weight and size is not the only factor in these tests. I assume the Escape would be much better in a head on crash because they both had the same front overlap tests and only the Escape got a good rating, meaning the safety cage is stronger. The same could not be said about a side crash, the Expedition would do much better than the Escape because the Expedition got better side test scores.

@@adriangonz899 I have owned two one with a million mile and a newer 2020 with 50k. Haven’t gotten recalls did replace catalytic converter under warranty for free. Recalls are good that means ford honoring their product unlike your lifter collapsing in Tahoe suburban Silverado sierra Yukon Escalade. I’m sure the chances of your lifter collapsing is higher than the chance of me ever receiving a recall. Now the 3.5 eco boost or the power boost might have recalls but I don’t owned either. Ford is only made in the USA in Kentucky or Detroit. I’m sure you government motor fanboy doubt you can find Silao, Guanajuato Mexico on the map. U should be familiar with that lol. One is bailed by the government the other been running since the model T. Louis-Joseph Chevrolet isn’t American by the way. French last name
