Is A Virgin Media Service Engineer A Good Career?

Nothing wrong with working for Virgin Media or Sky, a nationwide company well known and it has a lot of internal opportunities. Lots of professional corporate roles from Project Manager, to Business Analyst, supporting IT & networking infrastructure, software developers, finance and accounting....the list goes on. When you are in a company of this scale you can train internally and develop into other roles or careers. A person might be a field engineer now, but could be an IT network engineer in the head office in a few years. Your career is not linear and big companies allow for growth.

idk why you downplay electricians man. The smartest people in the world were electricians in the older world. Now In the new world it's all about tech and the internet a lot of these people are worse off in life though because it's less rooted in reality and interacting with the world but rather a screen. It's been proven historically electrical engineers had the highest iq. Now in our generation it's probably computer science
