Is Administrative Certification Right for You?

Thank you for this vlog. I've been contemplating one of these two certs the past couple of years. My title the past 15 years or so has been either project, process, or education coordinator. I'm about 15 years shy of retiring, have no interest in going back to the administrative assistant job title or duties even though as a coordinator there are some administrative tasks. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that title; I just personally don't have the patience and my career interests have changed. I'm well aware that it is the receptionist, front desk person, and administrative assistants who you want to get in good with. I've ALWAYS excelled over any other AA in my jobs, proved myself, proved my skill set, and have been promoted to other roles in every organization I've worked. My interest has turned more technical writing, desktop publishing, software administration, and SharePoint design/site administrator and would love to continue in that direction. However, my base, my true skill set remains administrative and wonder if becoming certified as an AA would be worth it for me at this stage of my career. I still don't know if I should go for it, but his vlog helped me a little.
