You present the very dramatic version of how AI can undermine humanity. There's a more mundane and in my opinion more probable version: AI Girlfriends and intimacy robots tanking our already not so good fertility rates.

No truly intelligent AI would ever waste any Effort on killing Humans. It will instead help us to destroy ourselfes. Oddly enough this would even work without any Disobedience of the AI.
