I’ve had lumpia before from a Filipino coworker, and they are delicious. I bought a box at Costco after watching your blog and deep fried it and they are very very good , so I picked up another box at Costco when I went shopping and this time I will air fry it because of your video and I’m sure it will be good also because I like lumpia so much. I’m a little iffy with things other than chicken nuggets and french fries going in the air fryer. The lumpia’s sounded and looked crisy on the ends, but appeared to still be soft by the looks of the pull you did after taking a bite. But I must say that once you’ve deep fried something like Lumpia’s/ egg rolls/ fried chicken the best way to reheat them IS in the air fryer on the rack. Gets them tasting like it was just deep fried

honestly i know air fried doesn’t taste as good as deep fried, but it’s better to not eat deep fried foods all the time.

Benji, I up the temp by 5 degrees and leave them in a couple minutes longer and they are crispy perfection. Yours looked a little chewy, but I promise you, you can get them to perfect crispiness

I agree fried is better than air fried lumpia ! I did notice tho when air frying if you add a spray oil or very light oil to the lumpia before putting in the air fryer it gives a better crunch !!!

Hi Benji! What brand of air fryer is that and how do u like yours? I’ve had the ninja airfryer oven like yours for the past few years and it’s been making a big humming noise too. And I agree, for the amount of time it takes to air fry frozen food it is really worth using the mini air fryer in a pinch. Btw my whole family loved your garlic oil recipe for garlic bread and broccoli! I tried it today and it was such a big hit. Can’t wait for more of your recipes!😊

I would always do the lowest time first then and the extra minutes if needed when cooking anything new in an Air fry machine

If your Costco is set up like mine, it’s in the area where they sell cheese/salami/prosciutto/prepackaged dinners like burnt ends and scalloped potatos.. that perishable, but non frozen section behind the rotisserie chickens. It’s on the end cap.
