You've breathed life into your children and gave them the chance to live and prosper in life. You've given them a mother who will take care of them and surely she will. We all love you Dr. Dan. You are a wonderful soul that will keep living in us no matter what happens. You've made your footprint on us.

My uncle had ALS. I am so sorry for your situation. God bless you and thank you for your words of wisdom. Also I don’t believe you will ever be “phased out”. You’re family must love you very much.

I think dying alone might be the worst but that's just me without any experience... One thing is for sure, we cannot choose the body we are given. Your words of inspiration will always be there on the youtube.

I've been watching your videos for a long time now Dr. Dan, and I''ve always appreciated everything you've put out. Thank you for showing us this perspective as well. It is difficult to see you like this, but I appreciate the continued insight into your thoughts. With love, a viewer.

I've only just stumbled upon your channel (when doing some research on Applied Materials!), and when i took a peek at your content, i felt compelled view some of your more recent, non-investing related videos. I was immediately struck by how incredibly brave and selfless it is to speak openly about the difficulties you're facing and how you're attempting to think about them. I hope your words reach others facing similar circumstances and, if nothing else, give them a sense that they're not alone - ultimately that is the most valuable gift we as humans can offer one another. I can't pretend to have an inkling of what you are going through, but i wish you all the very best.

That’s a tough question. An insightful video. With ALS you have time to prepare and say goodbye, but whether that’s good or not due to the nature of the disease is debatable. My father died suddenly albeit at the age of 76 which is a fair/average age. What he did do perhaps not totally intentionally was to make a short 5 minute video a few days before he died, nothing super special just my mother and him my partner and our 2 sons having dinner. They were over from the UK visiting us in Australia at the time. He even mentioned the date! It is of course a treasured video. I am sure your children as they grow up will appreciate the videos you have made.
