It would be great to get a comparison to the Urrun if one adds a bike rack and some lights.

I’ve had mine about 2 months now and it’s a Jack of all trades, master of none type of bike. I don’t particularly like it but I like that it can take me anywhere. I’d rather have a specialized bike for each purpose but I only want one bike so it fits that desire very, very well.

Great review. I’ve have an Orbea Vibe H30 EQ which has been excellent for last 2 years now thinking of upgrading to the Kemen to give more scope.
@ebikecentre Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The H30 is a great bike but the Kemen is certainly more rugged. Are you UK based?

Great review. Thanks. Long shot question. Any insight into using this bike for a overnighter or 2-3 day off-road trip using a high quality solar panel to recharge (assuming good sun all day). I would basically keep it in low mode to preserve the battery. Maybe 500m or so climbing. Any other variables I missing?
@ebikecentre Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for getting in touch. I must admit, I have never used a solar panel to charge an e-bike, so I can't comment I'm afraid. Sounds like an excellent trip though! In low power mode I would expect to see a usable range of 50-60miles of mixed terrain and elevation (but there are a lot of variables that can effect this). It sounds like an excellent choice of bike for the trip your describing. If range is a concern, there is also a 250wh range extender that can be fitted to the bike. Let us know how your trip goes. Thanks for watching and commenting. Jason

Is this comparable to the tenways ago x? Or is orbea def the better brand/bike :)?
@ebikecentre4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. I don't know Tenways very well, so I can't pass judgement. However, looking at the specification of the bike, notably the Bafang motor and Suntour forks on the Tenways, the Orbea is most likely the better bike. Orbea are a premium brand and certainly a bigger bike brand (in terms of volume of bikes produced) but without riding both, I couldn't definitively say which was the better bike. (Please accept my apologies for the delay in coming back to you)

Between this and the Vado SL what do you reckon is more future proof and better value in terms of components?

I noticed there’s a 40 version that might suit my price range better. Would you say the 30 though would be worth the extra money ? Thanks

hi thanks for the review on a nice E all rounder, in general terms is it possible to gauge the life cycle of the battery ?
@ebikecentre Жыл бұрын
You're welcome, thanks for taking the time to watch the video. In terms of life cycle, this isn't an exact science as how the battery is looked after will affect the lifespan (i.e. charge cycles, if it is left discharged, temps at which it is operated/stored etc). Also, this particular battery configuration has only been around for circa 18 months so we don't have a long-term test subject to go from. However, in general we tend to see well maintained L-ion batteries last for around 8ish years before they need to be replaced as they no-longer hold sufficient usable charge. This is only a rough guide as we have seen batteries last longer and shorter. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the video. I'm looking for a lightweight hardtail cc ebike. This one sounds interesting. How long did the battery last on your cc ride?

Hi Daniel, thanks for getting in touch. The longest ride I took the Kemen on was 38km with 818m of climbing across the South Downs. I finished with 36% battery remaining. Most of my riding was in eco & trail, I only used boost occasionally, the weather was cold and it was very boggy out there in parts. I weigh 72kg. On a flat commute 80km+ would be achievable. I hope this is helpful. Jason

Thanks for your comment. Choosing a bike is ultimately, subjective. Personally, I prefer the Kemen, but the Pathlite is also a great option.
