It seemed that she wasn't attracted from the moment they met and drank excessively just to get through the date. They were not a good match. Nothing he could have done as a "technique" would have changed her initial impression. When people aren't attracted to someone I believe that the only thing that changes the feeling is when the "unattractive" person naturally demonstrates genuine, authentically wonderful traits which reveal who they are at heart. Authenticity and depth can change the tone. This match made no sense. I think they chose her only because her smile was similar to Cameron Diaz'. Four double vodkas probably didn't help their chances of making a true connection, even as friends.

Guys let’s be honest, the only reason you offer to pay for everything is because you hope to get a second date. This “being a gentleman” nonsense by paying for everything on a blind date is untenable. Most women take advantage of this in order to get a free meal, and end up rejecting you anyways. Being "sweet" and a "gentleman" do not mean women will be attracted to a man sexually, mentally, or emotionally. Yes, all women like their man to have sweet and gentleman qualities, but this alone does not make a woman want to jump his bones, dream to stay up for hours talking to him daily, or make her miss and think of him with deep affection. This is why women don't usually want to date their waiter, store salesman, or anyone else they meet in a customer service job. All these guys are often "sweet" and "gentlemanly" too. It's not enough. Seeing Ankush talk was making me fall asleep.
