Praying for Ben. My husband had rotator cuff reattachment and repair surgery in April. Very painful intense surgery but he is improving. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's great seeing both of you with smiles.

Andrea and Ben, I can totally relate to your story. Like Ben, I thought I was having a heart attack or anxiety. Had my husband take me to the ER at 3 or 4 o'clock in am 6 months or so ago. Realized when I was sitting on side of hospital bed it must be esophageal spasms. As I am a nurse and we make some of the worse patients...I felt foolish being there only to give myself grace cause what I have advised for over 27 years is if you suspect cardiac or something doesn't feel right (our body tells us if we would just listen) don't waste valuable time. Get to the ER. Glad all is going well for you empty nester 😊. Hope to come you way someday. Love all your insightful knowledge

Andrea, and Ben, Y'all have had a lot of stress (good stress). Stress does a number on our bodies. My husband, and I are happy to hear Ben's heart is solid as a rock with no issues. Ben you, and my husband have simular issues. Hubby is a disabled veteran. He's had what he thought was a heart attack, we rushed to the ER. Had all the heart tests, doc thought he seen something. The doctor did a angioplasty, the results, hubby has a solid as a rock heart (no heart attack). He had an ischemia of the heart. The blood pressure medication he put on depleted his potassium levels which caused all the symptoms of a heart attack. They put him on potassium pills, and changed blood pressure meds. He's all good, and the heart is A okay. My husband went through the exact surgery you did with the shoulder. He recommends you do all the physical therapy because it will help your arm/shoulder immensley. There will be pain however, you can get through the pain to have a better arm in the end. You want the shoulder to heal properly, the PT helps do that. Needles in your back, can help. Both my husband, and I have gone through the needles. My husband has had the needles multiple times. He's also had back surgeries, and will need more. If you have questions on the procedures, PT, or needles he could try to talk you through any concerns. If you want to talk to someone who has gone through similar procedures/surgery just have Andrea drop me her email address, and I can provide our phone number. Andrea, were all this way regarding taking care of everything else. We put our physical, and medical on the back burner and take care of everything else first.

I agree, once you meet your deductible then have it all done! That said I had a total hip replacement and I thought it was going to be the worst, I can't take anything codeine because it makes me have projectile vomiting so all that class of drugs was off the table for controlling my pain levels, and boy was I surprised when I managed the pain with Tylenol and Motrin. I had no pain with that recovery at all, even the therapy was easy. So since I had met my deductible I decided to go ahead and take care of my torn rotator cuff and bicep tear. That surgery was the most painful I had ever endured, I had morphine pills to take and they didn't touch it after the nerve block wore off. I only slept when I passed out from the pain. thankfully the pain only lasted for 3 1/2 days. The therapy was ridiculously painful too. Ben, I do understand what you are going through!!! After all that we decided to start eating clean, ketoviore, no grains/gluten, no seed oils, no sugar, no GMO, low carb veggies, high amounts of all meats, high animal fats, butter, and heavy cream, cooking everything from scratch and after 18 months we have lost a total of 200 pounds, I lost 70 and the hubs lost 130, I went from 2X to a small and he went from a 44 waist to a 34, best of all we both now take no prescription at all. We were both A1C of 6.5 and now 5.1, we have the cleanest bloodwork ever and he feels fabulous and I do as much as my SI joints allow ( the one thing that clean eating hasn't fixed is the tight Siatic joint pain that makes my legs numb after standing too long) I even have remotion arthritis that I no longer take meds for. On top of all that I am 70 and the hubs is 65, not bad for old farts! Love ya'll!!!

Hey y'all, That sinus surgery is no joke. I have had more than 8 major orthopedic surgeries. When I had the sinus surgery it was a bit painful and I finally got to go get the packing out and I was excited. THEN he started to pull and OMG my body levitated right off of the table and I think he was pulling for hours and hours and took miles of stuff out of my head through the nose. I am thinking how the hell did Michael Jackson have all those nose surgeries. I am so glad it was not a cardiac event. The bucket analogy works two ways one is the way you describe the bucket over flowing from just too much input. Life can really get out of control when you are in this situation. WE ALL need to listen to our bodies because the body will revolt. The other part of the bucket analogy is letting your bucket run dry. Doing too much for others and not enuf for yourself. You need to schedule times to do an activity, a hobby or recreation to help you feel better get socialized with family and friends. Good luck on the physical therapy. God bless y'all be safe, Steven

Last year my hubby had disc replacement, and both rotator cuffs fixed. We started February with an Afib scare and then advised our 20 year old that she needed to get both feet operated on since we met all the deductibles and maxes that we had been holding off on. I had pain in my hand and after months of trying things I just had 2 discs replaced and 3 vertebrae fused in my neck. I’m hoping 2025 is a quiet medical year. 😂
