Im 35 y/o and 6,2' starting at 243lbs and with regular dieting and moderate exercise I was able to get down to 220lbs but could not get below no matter how hard I tried. So I took Berberine 3x a day 500mg pill before every meal. I am now at 204lbs it took about a month and a half. I was watching my food intake and keeping track of my calories so that had remained a constant. Without a doubt I was now feeling more energized after eating and was way less hangry. I also didn't need afternoon naps anymore. Over all I feel much better and it feels like my metabolism has increased with using berberine. This doctor is just doing his job, unless there is concrete clinical evidence with trial groups, then they can't risk loosing the trust of their patients by recommending a research type supplement that might not work. I can vouch though that this supplement works and I have lost weight. the only side affects is slight stomach pain and some diarrhea that cleared up over the course of a couple days initially starting it. Over all I hope this helps someone on the fence.
@kimieann19755 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, if it did undergo large studies with all the accolades it would cost the same as ozembic. Poor folks are ALWAYS going to try cheaper supplements. They can't afford doctors visits & rx

I really think peoples bodies are different. The man has a point and we need to be cautious of supplements but we also need to be cautious of main stream medications. Berberine anecdotally works for SOME. Keto works for SOME. WFPB works for SOME. There’s risk involved with everything.

And would you know that Phentermine is still prescribed for weight loss. Phen-Fen caused Pulmonary Hypertension which was not reversible. The use of berberine or Ozempic/Monjaro/Any others should only be 6 months. Just remember EVERYTHING we take in is poison. Monitor yourself. If you start to feel “off” stop taking the poison. These drugs are taken from “nature” but poison ivy is from nature too. Just be careful. If you can control/lose weight the old fashioned way would be better.

I'll throw in my two cents since I've taken this stuff for over a month. Berberine made me lose an extra 2 lb a week when changing absolutely nothing to my diet or my activity. It's worth noting I was doing intermittent fasting for 3 months and for some reason adding berberine accelerated my weight loss like crazy. I went in every 2 weeks for regular blood work and my doctor said everything was great. Each time I did blood work my LDL and triglycerides were lower and lower and finally got into a normal healthy range. Doctor looked at me and said keep doing whatever your doing.
