This spot is reserved for Evan Van Ness's silly defense of Ethereum and attempts to classify it as anything but the king of all shitcoins.

5:30 "A pool could create adresses" Maybe important to add is that the Stratum mining(V1) protocol isn't encrypted and you could verify that a pool gets a lot of results send to them from many different places. You missed the most important part imo. A user activated softfork. Like we did in 2017 against the NewYork agreement. Miners don't contribut to the decentralisation. Nodes do. The people running their own node fork any mallicous transaction away. So a 51% isn't worth it at all.

Absolutely. I thought Jonathan would cover that, but I guess he thought it was too obvious to most. Or, he instead chose to cover the only aspect that most people complain about i.e., mining centralization.

The comparison to a co-pay as you described miner pooling seems incorrect, it is much more accurately like a lottery pool. People get together to pool money to buy many lottery tickets and if any of them win, you get a percentage of the winnings. Obviously you get more if you just buy your own lottery tickets but you have in general a better chance of winning SOMETHING by joining the pool.

Hello Jonathan....what is your view on future bit vs raspberry Pi?
@thenextlayer2 жыл бұрын
FutureBit is mining hardware, not lightning routing hardware, so it's much more powerful. I haven't played with it, but if they send me one, I'd be willing to test it and do a review. You should tweet them :)

Dude saying they are doing alot of work to send to 138 companys or people. ....bro its not that hard to generate 138 new wallets... especially when you have billions in the pool lol....severely conflating wallet addresses to equal individuals and miner machines conflating to some number of miners individuals...it can be said thats thousands of miners in a warehouse and a few hundred wallets. Again well within a billions dollar companies ability to front lol
