Mining bitcoin in one sentence. Network Difficulty goes up, profitability goes down, no payback... except for bitmain👍
@Chuck854118 күн бұрын
*at current prices. It's worth it, if prices continue going sky high. As the price goes up though, hodlers should be ok. But in a few years, the mining difficulty will be getting exponentially crazy difficult, which means the machines will even be more expensive - even in a bear market.

@@307radio You're spot on about the challenges of Bitcoin mining-rising difficulty and hardware costs make it tough to stay profitable long-term. After years in mining, I transitioned to staking, and it's been a much more rewarding experience. Staking requires less capital and maintenance, as you simply lock up your crypto to support a network and earn rewards. From my experience, staking can be more profitable than mining, especially if done strategically. It offers consistent returns without the constant need for hardware upgrades and electricity costs. For miners looking for a less demanding, more profitable option, staking is definitely worth considering. I could leave some materials as a pointer on your research if you want.

How much is your average 24-hour electricity bill now
@Toodweber6 күн бұрын
In my experience, electricity bills for GPU mining can be high due to increasing network difficulty and power consumption, making it less attractive for investors. CPU-powered protocols, which use native tokens for mining tasks, are becoming a more profitable and energy-efficient alternative. These systems require less hardware and consume far less electricity, making them a better option for those looking to enter blockchain validation with lower overhead costs.

You have been talking about a Solar farm forever, stop talking & just do it, you know its the solution. Stop messing around & just do it. 300-600 Solar panels rated at 400w each would solve many problems & they are extremely cheap right now as China stuggles with its economy. Mining 24/7 is an issue because of the stupid high price of batteries from Tesla & other main suppliers, but there are cheaper battery solutions available. Figure it out and build your Solar Farm now. Just stop talking about Solar, fed up hearing you mention it if you're not doing it.

this is the right time to start thinking about making your own electricite
@FremFre-u2r13 күн бұрын
The issue with that thinking is that it in theory would then be more profitable to somehow directly sell/use your produced energy and then buying whatever coins you want. Or am i missing something?

Perhaps the difference in buying/selling price for energy might make own production a more profitable way to go, anyone with experience in selling electricity?

it's a constant arms race and whoever can't keep up is gonna get squeezed out. Electricity costs will go up over time, difficulty will go up over time, costs of new miners will go up over time all while the performance of outdated miners and solar to power all this goes down. Sounds like you're always dumping a lot of money on new equipment just to make $50 per day. My bitcoin play is that I took $15k and sold two weekly cash secured puts on MSTR and collected $1,100 in premium for my troubles. No mining purchase or solar contemplation required. Next week I'll recycle that same $15k into more puts and collect more premium. Rinse and repeat. Keep it simple.
@dan74kg16 күн бұрын
Hey there. How do you sell weekly cash secured puts on MSTR?
@mfinite68916 күн бұрын
@@dan74kg I'm not sure if your question is literally "how do you sell puts" or if you're asking about the strategy of selling puts. If it's literally "how do you sell puts" there are plenty of videos that will take you step by step on your brokerage to sell a put. If it's strategy you're asking about, I like using the levered ETF MSTX or MSTU which shoots for two times MSTR's performance.

Suggestion for now: Buy some 3 phase microinverters and solar panels. And for now just lay them on the ground, and use the microinverters to supplement your 3 phase. AP Systems makes both single and 3 phase microinverters. But to use them effectively, get a local solar installer to work with you. We added solar on the ground to supplement out mounted, and it works. It does loose efficiency but you can always do mounts later if you want. ... DM me if interested in more information. No I do not do this commercially or have any commercial interests.

If you know how to install solar panels yourself you maybe making profit on bitcoins mining. But if you hire people to install solar panels for you, you won’t make profit.

You are singing my tune. It’s a really hard landscape to navigate. My personal view on Bitcoin is that it is a hedge against all the bs in this world and I plan to keep my Bitcoin going forward rather than selling as I did last bull. I just try to learn from my mistakes and move forward. Even though I’ve improved my strategy this time around there’s always room for improvement. A lot of things that I would have and will do differently going forward. Keep at it. You’ll figure it out 😉

Whatever you do, just keep stackin sats. Conservative estimates are that BTC will hit 250K by the end of 2025. And we have govts and major corporations now wanting to get btc onto their balance sheets. MSFT has a meeting about it today or tomorrow, and Amazon is thinking about it too. This is gonna keep pushing BTC up and up. We could be sitting at multiple million per BTC in a few years. So just keep stackin, and hodlin. 😎

I totally understand the struggle with mining-it can get costly and less profitable as difficulty rises. I used to mine for about six years, and honestly, it started feeling like a constant uphill battle with increasing hardware costs and energy bills. That’s when I decided to transition to staking, and it’s been a game-changer. Staking has been way more efficient and profitable for me. Instead of worrying about maintaining expensive mining rigs and dealing with high electricity bills, I just lock up my crypto to help secure a network and earn rewards. It’s a much simpler process, with much lower overhead, and if done right, it can be far more lucrative than mining. If you're interested, I can share some materials and resources to help you dive deeper into staking and how it could work for you. Let me know if you want to take a look!
