I really love it on the switch. Yeah the graphics aren't as good but me and my mom only have one tv right now so it's nice to have it on th switch when she's watching something. I have it on my ps4 but I hate hogging the tv.

I personally love Borderlands 3 on my Steam Deck, but this looks incredible on Switch and is only 8.5gb!? My son would love this, will wait for it to inevitably drop in price. I suspect this doesn't have crossplay given the technical limitations.

Yeah bought it the moment it was available on the switch. No regrets it’s been fun on the switch. Always looking for a good on the go game and shooter. Loved it on the Xbox and love I can take it on the go even if the low res is a thing it’s not game breaking lol

I really wish I could decrease the file size of the PC version to switch levels. I really don't care about graphics much but PC game filesizes are going out of control. I would of grabbed BL3 immediately if it weren't for the fact I have a steamdeck.

If you buy a physical version the base game is already on the cartridge. You can play it without downloading anything else. All the other stuff like patch 1.0.1, language packs and DLCs have to be downloaded from eshop.

If anyone is reading this between 7/29/24 through 8/15/24 you can get both BL3 for very cheap or the Pandora's Box which includes both Telltales, all 3 mainland games and all DLC for only $30.

Yesterday I bought the Borderland ultimate collection for 30 bucks, although I had already bought the Handsome Collection. BL3 seems to be a great game, I especially noticed the fantastic sound design of the weapons. However, I had massive lags in my gameplay even though I'm set to 30 FPS all the time. I'm actually not at all fussy about this, but I found these drops to be extreme and really reduced the enjoyment of the game.

I would've been super excited for this port pre-steamdeck. In fact i lapped up all the other border land ports on the switch. But steam deck is now my go to portable system for high-end games. I still game on my switch for its excellent library of exclusives, and due to the switches better battery life and better display its still my go to system for indy titles and retro games.

There's a screen upgrade you can get for the steam deck called "deckhd" and it makes the steam deck look so much better. It's $100 but worth it in my opinion

Played all the borderlands games (pc) and BL1 and 2 are the only games I've got more than 1000h on in my steam library. However the absolute constant nagging and people shouting at you made me quit BL3 after "just" 70h. I just couldn't take it any more. I am glad it finally made it onto switch at least. It's a great game if you can stand all the annoying characters

Its fine. First load to menu can take like 2 mins but switching maps is like under 1min.

I bought the legendary collection on switch and really enjoyed it. Although the controls were god awful. I just bought the ultimate edition on ps5 for 30 bucks. Im not paying 60 for a port that looks bad. Heck the game didnt even look that good on ps4

No paIN TO BE HAD But STILL i am broken . In other words, framerate drops are NOTHING new to Borderlands even on clearly superior consoles (even now), so the fact you point out it's CONDITIONAL actually gets my hopes up that may run smoother than past experiences on full blown consoles. Definitely going to purchase, as a new release will need tweaks. On my potato laptop, if I run a game at base it will run like hell and look bad, but once I fine tune everything, it's all smooth and looks beautiful even though no hardware or software has changed. The changes they need to make can quite literally be done by one willing employee in just a few nights to be GENEROUS, as they may have to actually put out the update and bug test to thoroughly test the conditions. The first thing you'll notice is fixed LOD and shadow textures, with that far less framerate drops. Next hotfix will be the fine adjustments that allow for faster texture load times and they may even put out an optional higher quality texture download at some point like they do with many of their games. I have a lot of faith in Epic and 2K, and the fact that they're one of the only companies left who can re-release their products 42 different times and I will never bat an eye or complain, but will just be hopeful whoever gets the games now will still find others online to enjoy it with. So excited to try BL3 now.

I wish they had re-used borderlands 2 textures instead of super low quality BL3 textures. The game just doesn’t look good at all the way it is rn and uncapped frames is just a stupid decision. I’d rather have a game run on 30 fps the whole time instead of having constant dips in frame rate during combat. Hell even Borderlands 1 and 2 run really well on switch and don’t suffer as much in terms of texture quality when compared to the pc versions.

The game uses 2 different engine so reusing assets won't be that easy and it will cost TONS just for this port... Which no game dev will bother to do.. But I agree that uncapping the framerate is an idiot move by them..

Close to lvl 30 now. It plays good overall. Yes it does dip sub30 in heavy fights. But for a mobile BL3 experience its good enough. Wouldnt buy it for 60 tho. Got a modded switch. Actually don't buy any games 50+. Wait for sales.

I guess the Switch's successor will get plenty of third-party ports, but I don't think they'll arrive immediately, particularly for games that have several installments. I wonder if Capcom will port all of the modern Resident Evil from VII to 4R, but they'll have to release them carefully, don't think they'll drop all of them on the same day

nope.. its serve its purpose already.. to game on handheld at affordable price when it released when most handheld pc price at $600 with 2 hours battery life. Its the most powerful handheld back in 2017, 4 times more powerful than most powerful Sony handheld namely PS Vita.. If you want more advancement tech, I suggest to wait for next successor meanwhile you have other option available like SteamDeck, Ally, GPD and Lenovo Go, not to forget Playstation Portal.
