I love getting my Botox, I’m booked in on the 17th to have my twice yearly dose of it, Yes, I get 6 months out of my Botox and at least 2 years with any Filler I have done, it’s just the type of skin I have, actually I’m over due this time round with having my Botox because of my skincare I’ve been using over the past months, I’ve noticed that I haven’t needed it until now, I’m really looking forward to having it done again, there’s nothing really on the market that will give you the same results as Botox, I’m going to have a little put into the corners of my mouth this time round also because I’ve noticed since I’m ageing @60++ that my mouth is getting a little droopy and I can’t be having that, I don’t care what people think about me having Botox, if I can keep my face looking younger and more lifted then I’ll continue to have it done, I always do it for Me and it makes Me feel better about myself, I’ve got a great injector that I’ve been going to for years and she knows my face as much as I do, always do your research on injectors because there’s some really bad ones out there. Happy Holidays Penne and your family and a Very Prosperous New Year filled with Love, Kindness, Peace and Happiness. Best Wishes from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🎄🎄🎅🏻🤶🏻❤️❤️….and Thank You for not being one of those that are against having Botox 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and being Honest about having it done yourself, So many on here claim that they have had No Botox but if you’ve had it done yourself, You can tell whether they’ve had it done or not. No One in their 50’s have an absolute wrinkle free face with absolutely no lines around their eyes and forehead. 🤔🤔❤️❤️❤️

That’s interesting about the zinc supplements because I noticed that my botox lasted longer this year! I thought my injector had some sort of magic (she is amazing). However, I recently started taking zinc supplements! And what’s crazy is that my old injector put way more botox compared to my new one, so I know it’s not just in my head that the results are lasting longer! I noticed an extra month or two, and who wouldn’t love that? It’s amazing to hear how great zinc is for our immune system AND wrinkles. Thank you for continuing to educate us with your knowledge 😇❤️

I get Botox regularly and have had filler over the years. At this point now I have about 1/2 a syringe in my lips (this is very new for me-I didn’t used to EVER want filler in my lips. I do it now not for volume but to shape them the way I want). Where it looks like I have a ton of filler (my cheeks) I actually don’t. I just have big cheeks and always have. Just looking at my son’s school pics today and he has my cheeks (he’s 12) and it made me smile 😊 I used to have filler under my eyes but I dissolved it. I do get sculptra injections-that is a bio stimulator that helps grow your own collagen). I do that in my temples (just started that) and the frame of my face. I think that’s it? Oh! I had a TINY bit of restslyn contour put in my malar break (it’s a line in the cheek where the malar pad creases). These are of course all spread out over a long period of time, not all at once. ❤️

Would a higher percentage of Argireline be more beneficial? Lotion Crafter has a wrinkle defense complex that is 55% Argireline and 45% Matrixyl 3000. Hi Penny I see lots of videos on winter skincare focusing on hydration but they never seem to take acne skin into consideration. So should acne skin types not use exfoliating cleansers and leave on in the winter time?
@Kendralovesskincare2 жыл бұрын
I'm obviously not Penny😊 but I have dry hormonal acne prone skin. On top of that I have to wear a kn95 masks daily which is a nightmare for my skin. My skin Always gets so dry in the winter. What I've found to be helpful is layering light essences with beneficial (for my acne) ingredients as well as adding extra layers of hydration. Lately I've been using the One Thing toners/essence's. They offer one ingredient so you can choose what is most beneficial to your needs. I'm enjoying the propolis, artemisia, centella and houttuynia cordata. These are specific ones all have benefits for acne prone skin, while adding light layers of hydration. The cosrx snail mucin serum and all in one cream are great for my skin because they are hydrating while helping heal up breakouts. Hope this helps😊
@Kendralovesskincare2 жыл бұрын
One other thing, in the winter I tend to use more lactic based chemical exfoliators as lactic is "hydrating" in a sense. I will still use a BHA cleanser and toner a couple times a week but not as much in the winter since it tends to dry my skin out more in the colder weather.

Hi Penn, could you address if there is benefit to Argireline and Botox? Is it worth using if you are using Botox, rather than instead of it? Also - can it go on after other products, like Vit C etc..?

Hi Penny, the drooping can happen when the forehead is treated, or the crows feet? And also, can you dermaroll under the eyes gently or not at all? Thanks

Thanks Penny! Love all the info as usual. Along the lines of your hypothesis on EMS, do you think that microcurrent devices could reduce Botox efficacy as well? Since it’s stimulating the muscles, I have wondered if that goes against the paralyzing effect? Thanks again and happy Holidays!

Your hair is so gorgeous! Do you still enjoy using the revitalash products? I talked myself out of the lash serum because I heard it causes fat loss below the eyes, but since watching your updated PM routine and seeing your hair here, I think I may need to pull the trigger on both!

That has improved. One question, do i derma roll and then put the argenaline on or put it on and then derma roll

So if I get Botox … what is the best skincare … ?? So overwhelming…

I have slight facial paralysis (sort of like Bell's Palsey) on the right side of my face due to a non cancerous brain tumor on the right 7th cranial nerve. I usually only need botox on the left side of my face. concerned of fine little wrinkles under my eyes and under my bottom lip my injector injected a tiny amount superficially (so she said) under both eyes in the fine little wrinkles and under my lip. HUGE mistake! the botox under my right eye has caused me not to be able to move the top corner of my mouth at all where as before it was already paralyzed but had a bit of movement. the botox under my lip has caused the right side of the lip to be stuck up over my teeth, In short I talk like the penquin in batman. I am miserable. hard to pronouce words, I bite the inside of my lip when I eat, etc. I am trying to smile constantly to stimulate the nerve to come back. HELP!!! It is 38 days post injection and I need to get this out of my system ASAP. any suggestions?

I'm such a weenie. I just got the very shallow needle CIT and plan to try it tomorrow. So, it's crazy to ask, but what do you think of PDO threads? I think you have an older YT about it.

After watching this video, I tried to find The Ordinary’s argeriline serum, and I saw that they have a matrixyl serum. Penny, is this something you feel is a good swap for argeriline? And is it something we could nano needle or cosmetic needle with?

I just got botox a few days ago. Do you think it will help to start taking Zinc now, or did I miss the window? How much should be taken?
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE2 жыл бұрын
The study had participants use zinc citrate 50 mg and phytase 3,000 PU so that would be what I would think is ideal. I don’t think you’re out of the window 😃 As long as you’re fine taking supplements of course ❤️

I love your channel. I live in Washington and would love to come see you. You are amazing. You have helped me so much with my skincare. I’m 39 and just got botox around my small lips to give a lift. My lips feel numb and I don’t like it. Thanks for this info.

Thank you so much for this information Penny! I’ve been so upset for days! I went to the dermatologist and he said in order for me to look beautiful I need Botox, Fillers and Laser really?? I ran out of his office crying 😭 it was just devastating to hear this! I need help! When would you use the argireline in a routine? After toner or before moisturizer?? Thank you so much and have a wonderful week! Happy Holidays! 🎄❤️💚❤️💚❤️
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE2 жыл бұрын
I think you need a new dermatologist. I am 1000% sure that you do NOT need any of that to be beautiful!! For me argireline is at night right now and it’s only spot treatment. I used to do it in the morning (spot treatment) 3-4 times a week on days I don’t do acids or l-ascorbic acid. Now I do it at night with my serums and just between my brows and outside my eyes. I then go on as usual. 1-2 times a week I will try to add a dermaroller to that area as well. It’s really a matter of remembering 😬. I’m trying to make it a habit ❤️ I’m so sorry you had that experience, no one needs any of this stuff to be beautiful. I’ve had enough interactions with you to confidently say that you ARE beautiful.

@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE thank you so much Penny! You are just so sweet! I’m still so upset! I’ve always been so self-conscious and he made it 10 times worse! Not to mention, even if I wanted to have all that work done, I couldn’t afford lol.. So, argireline can not be combined with acids or l-ascorbic acid but can it be used along side copper peptides or retinol? I also use it as a spot treatment too! In between brows, forehead and under eyes! Thanks again and have a wonderful week! And Happy Holidays! 🎄❤️💚❤️💚

One time when I was in my 40's I went to my usual injector for botox and said I think its my crows that bother me the most and told him I didn't think my forehead was that bad. He said something like "oh honey, yes it is". So, of course, I got it there but what the heck?! I'm 55 now and still think my forehead isnt really that bad. Of course it looks better with botox but he really shouldnt have said that. I was clearly ok with how that area looked. Just like everyone else, skin experts are all about their "thing"...A painter is going to notice if a house needs repainting more than the average joe, my optometrist friend notices if someones glasses aren't the right fit or shape for them more than the average joe, etc etc. We have to take these type of comments with a grain of salt....the difference, I think, is that these peoples opinions concern our looks, which we are much more sensitive about. Just something to think about with our skin care journey!

@@amydeckard7305 Thank you so much for your reply Amy! It was so just so upsetting not just the comment itself but the delivery of it! My looks have always been a real big problem for me even from a young age. Being picked on my kids and family members and then still as an adult comment’s always being made makes me very self conscious. I do appreciate what the doctor was trying to say but being rude and snarky about it and saying that was the only way for me to look pretty just devastated me! I truly appreciate your comment and I hope you have a lovely rest of the week 🥰🥰

@PENNSMITHSKINCARE2 жыл бұрын
I’ll try and find a breakdown of each and share. I paid a deposit, then I actually paid every month (they let me pay ahead) so that by the time I got to my surgery I had it paid for. So I’m not sure on the individual pricing. I’ll find out and let you know! All together it was in the mid teens I believe. Somewhere around 15-16K 🙂

Love this video, hoping you can help with the Botox question… I feel like since using micro current very consistently my muscles are stronger and the Botox is less effective and wears off quicker, I love the plump and glow MC gives but it’s dramatically changed the way Botox is working? Is this a thing? Should we not use MC on Botox areas? What’s going on? Thank you 😊
@Chris-hr3fc2 жыл бұрын
From what I understand MC is EMS which stimulates the muscles and shortens Botox efficacy.
