As someone who writes as a hobby, I’d describe writing less as “dancing for the soul” and more as “Crying in my room at 3am while I desperately type something that’s probably going to make no sense in the morning” and “I just spent 30 minutes reading an article about how toad are poisonous because I wanted to know what animals live in swamps”

As someone who edits for a living, I can guarantee the 3 am ramblings of most writers make absolutely no sense to a normal, sober, adult human. I have worked with two people whose 3 am drafts make more sense than their 3 pm drafts. Granted, I worked those two people during my “beta-reader for fanfic authors” phase. And I’ve just realized that I am rambling at 3 am, and as such am a massive hypocrite. Regardless, farewell, and happy writings to you, friends. I must sleep.

Our lad has a good taste in film. Guess I'll share some of my favorites; 2001: A Space Odyssey. A perfect cinematic masterpiece created by Stanley Kubrick, released in 1968. Visuals hold up surprisingly well, making it look better than most movies coming out this age. Blade Runner. Another beautiful movie, made by Ridley Scott. It basically pioneered the Cyberpunk genre, thanks to the illustrations made by the legendary Syd Mead. Lawrence of Arabia. A four hour long epic that covers Lawrence's mission during the Great War. Even though it takes that long, it's definitely not a slog. 1917. A beautiful depiction of World War One. From muddy trenches to a destroyed city, all captured to look like one single take. And lastly, another masterpiece by Kubrick; A Clockwork Orange. Set in a crime filled 70's dystopia, this one surely will get you ready for some ultra violence. I hope you guys will at least enjoy one of these movies that I listed here.
@isabellamorris79022 жыл бұрын
