One thing that goes unnoticed is that Caitlin has had more defensive pressure put on her than anyone in the league, blitzed and double teamed twice as much as anyone yet she still put up these numbers. Most players have improved a lot since their rookie seasons and I can't even imagine what she's going to be like in a couple years.

@@kriptdawg9398 I think she should move away from those. A few occasionally is fine. But her passing is her best attribute. I think she should work more at getting to the rim which will get her to the foul line where she's almost automatic. She should also work in the midrange. A few bombs will come from long 3s but that's not a high percentage shot.

Hello Rachel, love your channel, you have great presentation and integrity. Caitlin’s numbers don’t lie, on court, financial growth to the Fever and WNBA, growth in attendance. I would also add international fan growth. I am from the UK and started following CC22 last year and have now become a WNBA fan. I’m watching games live at 1-3 am, I’m saving up to come over to see a Fever game, hopefully next season. I’m a fan of Caitlin, not just because she has a unique gift for the game but the way she conducts herself. In her rookie year she has had immense pressure and negativity thrown at her. She has accepted it, let her game do the talking, not bad mouthed anyone and is always taking about we or they in the positive. When she talks in the negative it’s about how she should have done better, how she can improve, what she can learn. Caitlin is a very talented and unique 22 year old, she has achieved all this in her rookie year, imagine what she can achieve next season. If Caitlin doesn’t get ROTY it will be a travesty of justice, what more could she have done, I think she should be MVP, no one in the league has her combined numbers.

The fact alone that without her the wnba would still be lingering on the virge of bankruptcy and no one knew a single player's name beside the dude's who got caught in Russia and now they have a million people following, and we start learning most of the names should give her the most valuable player in the history of the franchise.

In WNBA she is definitely the best RoAT, based on all records broken alone she is the GOAT rookie. Just check all other WNBA stars in their rookie year and you'll be shocked how big is the difference. And don't forget to watch the next game, because she is currently holding as well the best FT percentage of all rookies ever and next game that can be sealed.

Great episode, Rachel! CC, if not the greatest rookie across the board, she is certainly the most impactful. I believe that impact will be felt even more in years to come as we see the viewer and attendance ratings rise even more and many more young ladies get into basketball inspired by her excellence both on the court and off.

I can't argue for CC as the best rookie of all time, as while I have been a women's basketball fan since the mid nineties (go UCONN) , I'm not a stat geek. I love what CC has been doing for the WNBA, and I love watching her and watching how she has drawn the Fever into her orbit, and encouraged them all to be the best they could be. Truly a facet of a true champion, right up there with Larry Legend.

Don't know if she's the greatest rookie ever, in any sport, but few players have had an impact on an entire league the way Caitlin has. The last, single player to elevate their sport to soaring new heights was Tiger Woods. Clark has lifted her team from bottom dweller into playoff contender, and with basically the same roster as last season. And, finally, no athlete since MJ has packed arenas at home and on the road like Caitlin. She is a phenom, love her or not. I am a huge fan!

We're all watching greatness. Who really knows how much she will grow and how great she will get. This has all happened in her ROOKIE YEAR. She has an entire career ahead of her, provided she doesn't get hurt...sidelined by Alyssa Thomas in the first round of the playoffs or flattened by some other jealous hater who has a "not on my watch" mentality. We've seen her take some massive hits from women who seem like their intent is to be the one who clips her career. I mention Alyssa Thomas specifically because that hit she gave Caitlin in their last matchup was BRUTAL and premeditated. So......if Caitlin can manage to avoid the hate and steer clear of a massive injury that the players, her coach, her GM, The W and the refs obviously have no problem with, then she could go down as the greatest of ALL TIME.

Obviously, GOAT. Fever had an average of 4,000 per game at $60 average ticket price last year. The main characters on the Fever this year are the same as last year except Caitlin. This year 17,000 average per game at average ticket price of $140. Do the math and the take was $4.8 million last year and well over $45 million this year. She has brought Fever average away games to over 15,000 and TV rating of 1 million plus in 16 out of 18 in the WNBA this year. Her stats are incredible but nobody has moved the needle on team/league revenues like this before. Her impact on the WNBA has been well over $50 million this year.

Caitlin played well Sunday. She's one of the greatest rookies of all time, sure. I don't think the Fever are going to beat the Sun. They're too disorganized defensively and I don't love their offensive schemes. Both Caitlin and Boston get a bit rattled and Caitlin especially gets frustrated in big games with herself and the refs. That's going to matter in the playoffs. This is all about the learning experience and growth. If they win one game I'm happy. If not, she still had an exceptional rookie season. The Fever still had a big season. But the Fever need more pieces and really, a better coach. Also, Mitchell has been phenomenal post Olympic break.

Truth. I really think the main thing holding them back is their coach. I think if she had an elite coach, she would be doing even more. I believe many of the Fever wins were despite poor coaching. That will come much more into play in the playoffs. Also, these woman will have a target on her head much more intensely than even the beginning of the year. Granted, she's learned what to do with that target now.

Wilt Chamberlain was more accomplished ROY and MVP, but in this context of lifting a league my vote would be to Magic who did not win ROY (Bird did) but was Finals MVP and got that championship ring in his first year. Also, crazily the same year as Bird and Magic, Wayne Gretzky introduced himself to the NHL and the world by putting up crazy scoring numbers, winning all kinds of awards and making the NHL pretty damn watchable. He is VERY similar to CC in some respects, scoring and assists being his calling cards.

Oh, don't worry, people will find ways to downplay Clark's stats. I'm waiting for the Swoopies to claim her stats aren't real because she had an Olympic break (and ignoring the 11 games in 20 days to start the season because of it). And unless Indy wins the championship, they will never consider her a great rookie. Clark told Bluder she wanted to take Iowa to the final four. That was the teams goal. They went twice. We don't know what Clark's true goal is this season; I don't think it is to win the championship. Not saying she wouldn't play her heart out to win it, but just a goal standpoint. Personally I think its either to make it to the semifinals, or at the very least to bring a playoff game to Gainbridge. I can already hear Geno hating on Clark and Indy fans now. Can't wait for him to tell me (again) that I'm dumb for liking an exciting player and hiw much better Paige is. Spoiler: shes not. I can't wait to see Lucy Olsen outsell Paige on draft night jerseys next year.

There may be more statistically dominant rookies in American sports history (Lebron is not one of them) but I’m having a hard time thinking of a more impactful one (and I’m 73 and a lifelong sports junkie). She has lifted the league to unprecedented heights and has become must-see TV, if you’re lucky enough to be able to watch. She gets my vote for best rookie.

She's the little girl who dared to dream big, work hard, and achieve greatness. In her we see the good shining through a troubled world. We not only cheer for her, we cheer for all of us. Yes, Caitlin Clark is the greatest rookie of all-time! The totality of her record-breaking performances as a rookie will be unsurpassed for more than a generation. Not only that. Her impact to the WNBA and women's sports, albeit unappreciated by the OGs of the league, is through the roof. And at the same time, the attacks on her both physically and mentally are almost criminal in character but she rose admirably over these immature, petty, butch-inspired, and racist acts and stayed on course as a role model and a professional basketball player.

Once again, you've done a professional job of outlining Caitlin's accomplishments and the merits of Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull being recommended for All WNBA honors by the Fever organization, justifiably so. When I consider the Caitlin Clark "haters", I have taken upon myself to issue new categories of awards. I nominate Geno Auriemma for "Most Viscous Poser" or MVP, Sheryl Swoopes for "Most Bitter Poser" or MBP and Angel Reese for "Most Disappointing Poser" or MDP.
