The part that gets me is how entitled the WNBA goddamn is. There's always an excuse, there's always something petty going on, and they always want to claim that they are equal to men. The entitlement is amazing, like you want to have that many airballs in a single quarter in THE FINALS. Like are these players even practicing? like with all the drama that was going on before and for this to be the FINALS, supposedly the BEST players doing this? This would have been unacceptable for a normal game from people that want to claim any comparison to the NBA, let alone a professional league. I'm all for equality but if I was in the WNBA, I'd be shitting myself right now and practicing and begging for one more chance, because the WNBA right now just looks like a league of whiners that got their bags and gave up. Yeah. That was the funniest part. It was supposed to be way more subtle. A couple calls here and there and Liberty win and no one notices. But then the Liberty completely choked and the refs just continued to do what was asked of them and it was WAY too obvious. But Cathy Englebert didn’t wear her NYC dress for the Lynx to win. Nike had their Statue of Liberty “ring” ad ready to go, etc etc. It’s crazy that so many people act like it was a legitimately called game. A close analysis of game 5 and every call reveals how lopsided the game was called.

This video hits the mark! I only watched the 4th quarter and began laughing halfway through it because, for the last 3 minutes or so, the teams either turned the ball over, had the ball stolen, or passed the ball around until a shot clock violation occurred. Maybe three shots were made in that 3 minute stretch and one was an air ball. None connected, so it was 3 minutes of chaotic, disorganized play without any points scored. And how can teams so regularly have clock shot violations?!? Particularly, in a championship game where the two best teams are playing? This drives me crazy about the WNBA. Even the Fever would often let the clock run out without ever putting up a shot. It seems basic to have one bench player designated to call out whenever the clock is down to 5 seconds or so and whoever has the ball must prepare for a solid shot. Instead, a player will look like she is about to shoot with 1 second left, only to try a pass to a more open teammate and, thereby, let the clock wind down. It is just painful to watch.
