Bro I'm Planning to live throughout the year in between Mumbai, Dubai & Toronto. Would Canada be a safe option for an Indian Family? . I'm already Spending the winters in dubai and was thinking of getting a PR by investment for canada to live in the summers as it would be easier for my Indian parents to acclimate to. I have never travelled to canada, so I'm trying not to be judgemental. So is it safe for an Indian family to spend the summers every year? if yes is toronto the best option? Expense is not an issue but safety and Quality of life is the Priority.

Hey brother, apologies for responding late. Well to begin with, Canada has one of the largest Indian population in the world with 3-4 hundred thousand coming in each year. Largely, it’s a safe country to live in with your family, however, it does have its own set of issues like every other country like high living expenses, housing crises, and not enough professional jobs. On the other hand, in the past few months crime has surely risen in some cities, but most of the cities especially in British Columbia are safe to live in. I would advise you to avoid Toronto if possible as it’s to much crowded now and car theft is a very big issue in and around Toronto these days.

Yes, UK is also a very good destination when it comes to education. In fact, I put UK's education system above that of Canada in terms of quality. But it is also costly and PR opportunities are less so people largely choose Canada.

Secondly, because a person has spent a very significant time of their lives in their home country, so getting accustomed to a new place, atmosphere, practices and value system takes time. Check Canadian job sites for openings such as Indeed.ca. Although its very difficult to come on job in Canada as direct work permits are rarely given now.

All pr people always consider that no one can come to Canada from india bcz they have fear about new immigrants take place in their jobs. Also crime rate is 4 percent more in india.

I would not agree with it. Canada and US are actually the lands of immigrants. Majority of the people who are living here had migrated from their countries at some point of time. Those who are even born here have ancestral links from other countries. As far as jobs are concerned, Canada is growing rapidly and does not have enough workforce to meet the requirements, hence it depends upon immigration and majority of the Canadians are well aware of this fact and hence are very welcoming towards new immigrants. Yes, there is a sense of displeasure in a section of the Canadian population, but that's not because of racism (well for most of them), but rising crime and not respecting the culture and value system around here.
