I vowed to not play Cata when it came out (no principled reason, it just seemed boring from a narrative standpoint and I don't like Worgen) but I did up levelling to 85 on my main in prep in case I played MOP and complete all the raids on normal with my guild. I didn't come back past that first month. In other comments I mentioned how there wasn't really a lot to WOTLK in Northrend to do. There's the AT daillies and a few mounts you can farm, but other than that there wasn't much to do as a time waster. The items you could solo are also fairly bland for transmogs compared to the Vanilla (what remains of it ) or TBC content. Cataclysm is actually worse in that regard. Sure you can saddle yourself with chores if you want (TB daillies, archeology, hunting elites, hunting camel statues), but the game lacks a certain feel to it. It feels way more grindy and I don't like the look really of the greens you can find in it. The mounts go from good to plain (the TB Alliance Horse vs the Camel), and everyone I spoke to hated archeology's grind. At least with MOP you have an orient them to it that might make collecting feel like you're at a souvenir shop picking up items from your trip to Panderia. I know I'm going at great lengths to speak of cosmetics, but I don't like to judge how good an expac is by the quality of their raids but by how much time you spend in the game. People complained about WOTLKC because they said that all their was to do was raid log, when I pretty much played 2 hours a day minimum doing other things and found the expac to be fun. Outside of transmog farming Vanilla and TBC, and running the raids, Cata looks and feels kind of dull.

Hell yes im still playing, still raiding and questing. It's a pretty good game.

i have played retail, sod, turtle wow, and now finally this and i really like cata classic i hope that this little world of WoW stays somewhat alive forever so i can keep having a home lol

Cataclysm in itself is a good game. It's basically like WotLK+ and made a lot of good tweeks and changes and is arguably the most balanced any expansion has been. Certainly in Classic history. But the problem is that there just isn't enough content. Cata Classic was released May 20th and we just have Firelands confirmed to be October 29th earlier today. That's over 6 months of T11. Another point is that T11 is too hard for an entry raid tier and we haven't seen anything like it in Classic history thus far. I've cleared T11 on heroic many times by now and it's starting to get old. The main thing keeping me going is being able to get the legendary daggers from Dragonsoul. I never got the final version of those in original Cata and would feel like checking off something on my bucket list that I never got to do in the original version. I think MoP will have more to offer long-term and I'm looking forward to that.

i am playing and not stopping, can`t wait for firelands, ds i am more meh about, but i am sticking cata out, and quite excited for mop, which was the best expansion i have played up to date
