It is a wise move for the Chinese government to completely open up visa exemption. Let more foreigners (especially those Westerners who have long been affected by the Western media’s demonization of China) see an objective China, which can also prompt China to improve its service level. There are many places worth traveling in China. I wish you have a wonderful time in China.

Thirty years ago, when I traveled through China with European visitors, they often remarked that China had no nightlife. Now, living in the US, the irony is clear-while China has blossomed into a vibrant, 24-hour culture where people freely enjoy the night, here in the US, we often find ourselves hesitant to step out after dark, missing out on the kind of nightlife that is now so commonplace in China.

Hi Jenny and Jacob, modern cities (like Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzen, Guangzhou, etc...) should be the 1st stopover locations to China but when cities are done, visit those mountainous areas like Zhangjiajie, Jiuzhaigou, Guilin, Dali, Lijiang and so on. Those mountainous landscapes will WOW you guys further. I have been to China 5 times now, since 1990s till this year and China is one of the safest countries (if not the safest) that I have visited and planning my 6th trip as we speak. My wife and I wanted to go to the European part but gave up after seeing what's happening in France, UK, Spain and others right now with domestic protests and tourism protests in Spain. No human is perfect, China is safe because criminals can't run away with high res cameras and punishments are hard on criminals, even phones or laptops left in cafes are majority of the time retrievable when you go back. When the people could make a decent and safe living, infrastructures are well developed and the entire country's economy are well managed, crimes are less likely.
Good comment, thank you for the tips - I will save the info.

Love your energy! I've watched quite a few videos and I have made the conclusion: China is an alternative universe - it is highly digitized, it uses different apps than the rest of the world and has a different payment system; it is safe at night in the big cities, it has great transportation system and very affordable, people there don't speak English for travelers ;-) It may be a bit difficult to get started as a traveler, but once you did, it's convenient! That's an alternative sort of freedom! The "bao zi" you've ordered, it's not the usual Bao zi. According to what you have read from the menu, is from Xinjiang - the controversial North Western region you've heard about. You should go there an take a look yourselves - a very exotic region and the most developed in Central Asia.

The fact that you guys are enjoying the "mystery night adventure" so much, I also feel good that China can offer such positive experiences and impressions on visitors. It is good that people like you actually took the plunge and see what China really is like. Regarding feeling safe, especially at night, I think China and the west are taking two very different routes to attain safety for the citizens. The west gives you a freedom to do what you want, then try to catch the people behaving badly after the fact. In China, they are taking a preventative/proactive approach, to stop the crime before it happens. The many cameras are there to keep watch on the people who might have bad intention.

Why would foreigner use “is it safe” title in China tour video? As if people think China is not safe to travel like America.
@JacobandJennyTravel4 ай бұрын
If you watch the video you know how safe we say we felt :) we were asking a question and providing an answer to it! Thanks so much for watching :)

This couple has been brainwashed by MSM their whole life until they were in China experiencing first hand for the ‘is it safe’. They were living in fear all the time.

So when Chinese travel to your country and they complain that no one literally speaks Mandarin, what would you do?
@JacobandJennyTravel4 ай бұрын
@@JingTommy We were not complaining, just stating a fact :) we do not expect people to speak English when we are in their country!

Stay away from America, unsafe now

The automatically generated English language on your video cannot appear in Chinese characters when selecting Auto Translate into Chinese. You may be using the wrong method or software when editing the video. It's a pity that many chinese missed this video because most Chinese people don't understand English. 😅
