Sir first of all you should see a nephrologist so that you can take care of your kidneys. As far as antidepressants are concerned, they dont damage the kidney directly. But you can see a psychotherapist and see if he or she can help you with therapy.

Should we make an appointment with our family doctor only to learn abput our condition, diagnosis and the stage you have referred? I reside in Canada and I am 63 years old female and I had my urine test and blood test results and doctor told me that I have protein in urine. I am diabetic and high triglycerides and he gave me medication for managing triglycerides, blood pressure although I don't have high blood pressure. As soon as I took Metformin. Along with Triglycerides medication made me very sick. My stomach got churned , painful for two days. I stopped glycerides meds snd have slowly started Metformin half dose to see the reaction. I have stopped salt from my diet and added healthy choices to my diet. I wonder about Calcium, Potassium in the urine. Should I review my results with specialist and request my doctor to see the kidney specialist??? I wosh to understand the future complications and how can I help myself. Appreciate your response.

Yes, you have to see your general physician for your general health check. But I see that you already look like having poor communication with your healthcare team. Yes, you should technically see a nephrologist, but I dont think in Canada you can get an appointment with a nephrologist that quick. It may be 6 months or more before you see one.

What if there is no proteinuria, yet creatinine is raised? Do we call it CKD? My husband's creatinine was 1.37 and when we repeated after 6 months it is now 1.41. Calcium, Sodium potassium ,urinary spot creatinine and spot protein and u/s KUB is also absolutely normal. There is H/O Irregular NSAIDS use due to neck/shoulder pain.

Yes it IS CKD. Please see a nephrologist to make sure you are not missing something important and please stop his pain medicines. And also find out why does he have pains in the head and neck. These pains are not normal.

Sir is creatinine directly associated with kidney diseas. Bcoz i have creatine of 1.3, uric acid normal, blood urea normal, no bp no diabetes, but have slight increase in albumin in my urine but very less. body weight 65kg and height 166cm. Sir , presently my Creatinine is 1.11 . As per DTPA Renogram my eGFR 85 and functioning left kidney 25% Right kidney 75% , and CT IV Contrast and IV Utogram has done. Actually in my kidney has a history of Stone and two times ESWL has done in 2010 and 2016. Now as per test report doctor said Left kidney has some blockage due to earlier done ESWL and advice to take surgery RGP + DJ Stenting long duration. I have BP for 20 years and diabetic for 7 years. Presently BP under control by taking medicine everyday and diabetic some high but HBA1C normal. Is the Doctor advice correct for surgery RPG+ DJ Stenting for left kidney? Please teply

Janab with normal Creatinine, I dont believe this is an accurate report. Please get an Ultrasound from another professional clinic and we will discuss then. Meanwhile, also check your urine for proteins.

Asalamu alaikum wrb sir, mere sr.creatnine 1.9 tak bada.iske sath hi mere uric acid be bada raha. CT scan karvaya thu patha chala, Muje prostate BPH hai. Mere kidney doctor ne Uralogist doctor say Milne kaha. Uralogist doctor ne BPH Ki medicine prescribe kiya, ek mahine kaya sr.creatnine 1.7 huva.Next month uric acid ko kam karne ke liye Febustat-40 mg 01 tablet after breakfast laney ko kaha. Next month sr.creatnine 1.6 huva. Magar urine mai Allubumin 2+ tha. Kay mai CKD Patient hoon. Mai 20 sal se Diabetic aur hypertension patient hoon. Please help me right path. Allah hafeef.

Hello Sir, Well explained. My wife 40 yrs is a CKD stage 5 patient and her adernial glad renin ratio is very high eGFR is 10 diagnosed in Australia. is it reversible? She is on palliative care now. She has been diagnosed with hypertension, no diabetes and other diseases. Your guidance will be appreciated. Creatinine is 6.8

Nahi sir CKD 5 is not reversible. I am not sure what does palliative care means for her. She just need to go on dialysis when needed and then transplant and then live a normal life again. If her overall health is well, you can donate her kidney.

I don't think you need to worry about it big time. It is appropriate loss of kidney function for your age. Yes, you fall in CKD2, but just keep you BP in control and follow healthy lifestyle.
