Is Cities Skylines 2 Really That Bad?!

Today I'll play Cities Skylines 2 for the first time and give my impressions. I'll try to create a small town, and then a larger city. I'll give my first impressions of the game, including reacting to it's new gameplay features and it's performance issues. And I'll be commenting on those performance issues, and how they might effect you.
