My biggest concern getting into copywriting is the oversaturation of writers, not A.I. (which did give me pause at first). I've actually seen agency job listings that require their writers implement A.I. in their writing process. So on top of the basics, I also have to train myself on how to utilize chatGPT or something similar. I also think learning how to really nail competitor research would be a necessity for entry now, as I'm not sure if A.I. is competent enough to do that yet (is it?)

I certainly wouldn't say it matches what a human could research, but also it is quickly becoming better with each year. Future copywriters and marketers in general are going to have a lot on their plates!

Thanks alot for clearing some of our thoughts regarding AI being as a copywriter because alot of us are in this dilemma that AI will be ending the copywriting job soon which couldn't be possible as we know Al written stuff always in need the genuine writer touch to make it more juicy and persuasive.. That is not something I'm 100% sure about! My gut says something along the lines of email copywriting, but I think there is a lot of room for people who want to learn everything.

The short answer is "No". Do not go for copywriting - coz 1) The market is already saturated with every other kid posing as a "copywriter" and 2) With the rise in the number of AI tools, why would agencies even want to pay you more for your copywriting services? I have not been getting one decent writing project from a single client be it on marketplaces like Upwork or Problogger or even through LinkedIn DMs or emails. I feel I made a terrible mistake choosing freelance writing as a service and that too in times of AI.

First off, Happy Birthday! Glad you made a video. New rules say if you don't upload over a 6 month period they will demonetize you. I agree with you, ChatGPT will not replace good copywriters. For those really worried consider this. Whenever a business owner tries to do everything, their business ends up suffering. Just ask your clients this, "Do you want to be saddled with one more thing you have to learn or would you rather leave it to the professionals and focus on what you do best, delivering your products or services?"
