The Phasing land would have given us another draw step to find a second creature and we'd have to fade another draw step of our opponent, but you are right there was a bit more game to play.

What's the line in R2 though? Even phasing out Marit lage doesn't kill it bc tokens do phase back in, and you still need to get past the other blocker...

I wonder if Wight is really better than Fiend Artisan in this style of deck? Or maybe you want both? Being able to tutor creatures feels more powerful than tutoring lands. Besides Grist, I'm also puzzled the deck doesn't play Allosaurus.

The good cradle control players have come to this list so I imagine it's better than anything I could suggest, but I did miss Fiend Artisan and Allosaurus is another good shout too

This deck isn't easy to pilot. Many of the lines are unconventional, and mulligans are crucial. I hope you'll give it another try

I faced this deck and it is indeed kinda tough. But didn't felt unbeatable, all the time I thought that if I did something different I could have won.
