Viserys never should have banished Daemon. The only one who truly had his back

Viserys was far too trusting of his hand and council

This is an interesting topic. I do sometimes suspect we overthink Otto's comment. Daemon was a violent reckless man who hated Otto. Had he come to the throne it was certain to be very bad for Otto personally. Comparing Daemon to Maegor was simply the easiest justification for using any means necessary to keep him off the throne.

Daemon is bad man , and cruel, otto is right. But its impossible to say , what king he could be

Holy hell really hate Otto huh? I mean I do to. I think something GOT and this has made me notice is that a lot of the theory community (and society in general) seem to trust the words of haughty lords like Otto and Tywin. When it doesn’t relate directly to secrets of their families their words are often used as evidence in theories and taken as true, and Ive seen that done with the line about Damon being the second Maegor the cruel. Idk I just think that lots of people are conditioned to think that especially lords but old men in general are wise and stuff but that doesn’t necessarily have to be true. Tangent sorry, I liked the video and do agree Damon deserves slightly less scorn.

😅 I honestly could make a part 2 about Otto's blind hatred for Daemon 😂

I wonder if the other half of 'Viserys had ridden the world's largest dragon, the dragon ridden by the Conqueror' being a point in his 'favour', in the Great Council- was the fact that it's past context: _had_ - & he never claimed another (something the Citadel/ Hightowers would have been keen to take advantage of- & not forget that Daemon has Caraxes, which is why Otto championing Rhaenyra strikes me as only ever a stop-gap between Daemon, & sons with Hightower blood), whereas Rhaenys had Maelys; a young-ish, healthy, strong, & fierce dragon- & Laenor had Seasmoke (& that their genders/ orientations were a secondary issue, in comparison) -- were the tradition of primogeniture be applied normally, as it was to virtually all of Westeros- the throne *should* have gone to Rhaenys - & if not her, due to the slowly settling pattern of no female heirs to the throne- then certainly her *_son_* It's clever that Martin's exploring the complexity of inheritance to lead positions; there's little argument about ruling ladies in minor seats (& Dorne's predominantly equal primogeniture*) - but there's a *much* more complicated situation around the Throne, & Great Houses; the Lannisters had a ruling Lady aged 2-3, who had an ambitious uncle as her regent- but that wasn't good enough- she died mysteriously, & he succeeded her (being the grandfather of Tywin, & the great-grandfather/ great-great-grandfather of the current-gen) - the situation after the death of Cregan Stark's eldest son & heir, who'd only had two daughters before his death: I have a whole heap of questions & theories about that. The fact that Viserys won the vote that deprived Rhaenys of the throne (likely due to his sex & age), & then turns around & makes his daughter his heir- & resolves to never change his mind on that, even _after_ having sons- that would have been pretty dumbfounding to a lot of people... Also, this is the only point in Targaryen history (& the world, post-Doom) where people from _other_ houses' descent were dragonriders; the Velaryons, though of Valyrian blood- were never dragonlords- & Viserys' children are half-Hightower - earlier on, Jaehaerys freaked out, at the idea of Elissa Farman/ others hatching dragons. *There are hints that some of the Stony Dornish have leanings toward a more male preference, than the rest of Dorne - but they also have no problem with female regents; Edric 'Ned' Dayne's aunt Allyria (sister to the late Ser Arthur & Ashara) serves as his regent at Starfall, while he's squire to Beric Dondarion.

The screen actors guild strike is over🎉 lol yellow jackets production and all others get back on it lol. 5 months and it was all about AI of course (get used to that) 😂 AI is not allowed to write or rewrite any work produced by sag writers. Well done writers union. I hope you've been working on stuff in your heads. No more remakes good god

I'm watching this on my TV and had to get on here to comment. You keep showing the Witcher! He has nothing to do with HOD or GOT! You should probably do your homework before editing together videos

I put quite a bit of homework into my videos, and I chose to use Henry Cavill as Maegor because I would prefer to use a real actor who looks similar over AI generated images. This was also noted in the video description.

@@FeyFireHenry Cavil would be the perfect Maegor, seeing him riding the largest dragon in westorosie history would be amazing aswell
