Online dating is so insanely bad at least as an average guy unless you are purely trying to hook up. I never found a girl online that didn't confess that they would date 2 or 3 guys at a time even if they were with the same guy up to like 3 months. After I gave up online I just randomly found a good woman organically and now we are married.

Despite what you may have learned while growing up... Most women aren't interested in commitment or romance. While they are young, they are only interested in having "fun" with their girlfriends, or going to clubs and hooking up with random guys, or posting half naked pictures on social media. Women are extremely self centered, and will only start thinking about marriage when they know their biological clock it ticking. But by then, most women have slept with countless random guys and probably have kids. The few good women are mostly already taken.

I've lived half my life in India, and half in Canada, so I have some insight. Approaching a girl like "I saw you, and thought you were beautiful" / or sex first & friendship is an afterthought, is a classic western approach, that doesn't factor in compatibility (Do your values and goals align at all?). The west does things backwards. In India the approach is very different, we keep close friendships. When you're best friends (without expectations), people are very open about what they really want. We stay best friends to access partner potential, and date with the intention of engagement, and engagement as a final trial run to make sure there's no Incompatibilities that will lead to divorce after marriage. That's part of why divorce rates are 1.3% in India, and 50% in the US. I've had such a hard time dating in the west, and consider going back to my home country, because on average it's harder to find people traditional / with comparable values to my own.

Very very intelligent comment this one! I'm Australian and I have Indian friends and I often speak with them about cultural differences? But it's not what you think? I'm the one saying to my Indian mates "that kind of thing wouldn't happen in India because......." I also love Indian food so my friends tell me I should go to Indian and marry an Indian girl haha 😆 My friend Vengkat Sai says to group of my Indian friends "Ah but James you must learn about dowry payment to her family when you marry? And you must convince her family that you are the right guy for her to be with because her family probably had an arranged marriage for her since she was a little girl? Sometimes these relationships are forged over a long time with both families in close contact with each other? It's not just a decision overnight? So you will need to show value to overturn something like that?" When I seemed disappointed as if the task seemed impossible due to traditions or something? Vengkat says in perfectly mock Aussie voice "Oh shit no bro! The girls father will call him and just tell him 'I'll promise my other daughter to your son' and they will just be ok with that?"

Agreed. I never had more women interested as when I decided to only focus on myself and refused to get in a relationship. It's a confidence in yourself that attracts people. You aren't desperate. You are having conversations with no expectations. You don't feel the need to push anything. Women find that attractive because they are used to men trying to push it. Men, focus on yourself and your career. Don't put expectations on yourself. Talk to women without believing you have to ask them out.

The closest I felt was a girl who I was friends with since middle school. She was funny, shared some of my interests, was similar to me (half asian and half white), and was shy. How I knew I liked her was when she hugged me for the first time at her birthday. It may have been a simple hug as a friend, but to me it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside tbh. The next year I moved away and we grew apart as our friendship split ways with groups. She dated one of my friends friends and I was left broken hearted. It still lurks in my mind what if she liked me? But now I think I have to move on. It's been so long. I wish we could have at least stayed friends but I will always cherish her friendship as I knew it.

I think people need to learn to be ok alone first before they can start meeting and trying to date bc meeting someone should add something to ur life, not become ur whole life. I also think that meeting people is more difficult bc some of us have lost social skills w/ the invention on phones and apps and of u are introverted by nature than that complicated things more bc ur circle of friend tends to be smaller. Happy u found someone 😊

Love can't be forced and in order to achieve it, clarity is vital. Who am I, what am I looking for and with what am I comfortable? It also means that you have to learn your boundaries and limitations. Bending over backwards works fine for a short while but not in a relationship. You can only give your best and if that is not enough for her, that's it. It doesn't mean that you are a failure, you just made a wrong choice. Somebody who really appreciates you, will recognize and value your contribution for what they are instead of looking for an imaginary ideal. Even if you manage, she loves the ideal you try to imitate not you. Btw. Congratulations to you👍🏻

Hello Gen, ive been watching through your channel for 2 days now, just because i do really like your authentic content and the topics. I just wanna say that dating these days is just as hard as back in the days as well, because of the actual intentions people has. Back then when people were humble around 1950 they are more likely approaching each other to getting into a committed relationship for the future comparing to today we are more into simple spending time together and see what happens. And the truth is, that young adult these days dont like get into a committed relationship and think about the far future with the first person they got approached because they learned that they also have the potential to get maybe “something better” than that, then treating their partner as a temporary experiment. I might be wrong but, when ur trying to talk to girl thats on a vacation, u shouldn’t approaching them in a way that they might think ur looking for someone to get serious with, because they then feeling kinda pressure and dont want to even think about a long distance relationship, so they just play it out by giving wrong number or rejection. Sorry for my bad English but i hope u get what im saying

Then you gotta have alot of skills to reel in the fish. You gotta be good at all of this, thats why its very hard. Its a skill that you gotta pratice alot to get good at dont think anything else.

I'm actually one of the very few who knew and understood what love is before getting into a relationship. The reason for that is because I have clarity most of the time, not because that I'm not horny, but I can somehow separate and ignore my "physical needs". I have Asperger's, so I'm on the autism spectrum. I don't crave for sex as much as most men do, and thus I don't allow lust to cloud my judgement as much as most men do. Love to me, is basically what I do to my family, like my mom and dad. I may have fights with them, but in the end, i'll always forgive them and will still love them no matter what. Love is Never a feeling, that feeling people calling "love" is just lust or affection. Love is a practice, love is commitment. Why does a couple offer their marriage vows at their wedding? Their vows are a symbol of their love, and if you truly loved your partner , you would work with your partner and uphold your vows till the end. Finding a partner is not just about finding someone you're compatible with, or you're attracted to, those are all key elements to start a relationship, but they're never your greatest priority when you wanna marry someone. in the end, it's all about finding that person who is willing to uphold their vows and share a life with you through ups and downs. I met my Nigerian Yoruba wife on Facebook, and i still love her just like I first met her. If there ever was a next life or if reincarnation exists, I do hope that we may meet again in the next life.

I understand that people are like, "stop being shy and have confidence by going up and talking." However, I think it's more complicated than that especially if you're social skills aren't that great. You will be more reluctant to go up and talk because you can't sustain the conversation. Heck even walking up to people of the same gender and talking is hard if your social skills are not the best. I think for people who just struggle with social interactions have it much much harder to approach girls and talk, It's a really uphill battle. Whereas if you are already funny and can socialise well the hard bit would just be bursting the bubble and going up and talking to a girl.
@thenonexistinghero Жыл бұрын
Or you could be a like me, have a good time talking, have the girl say we should meet some time... then the girl saying 'no' on every invite and contact being very 1-sided, but she will still mention every once in a while we should meet some time after I contact her. Then imagine that happening time and time again. It's not even at the point of dating or even at the point of being able to know whether there even is potential love or not. It doesn't even get to that point, time and time again. That combined with me having grown so distant from society and it that distance growing bigger by the day, at some point I just stopped giving a crap. Now I'm in my late 30's and the women close to my age carry tons of emotional relationship baggage and the age gap is just too big for the girls that don't have that yet.

Woman here... Stop watching HOLLYWOOD.... love is commitment PERIOD. Sometimes love fluctuates.. sometimes it's romantic, friendship, duty, coparenting, sometimes it's being family, sometimes it's just being there. Men n women have different needs... women needs to be cherished and loved, men need respect (not love). My 2 cents from a successful 17 year marriage/18 year relationship.

Love only happens when you are 100% comfortable with beinh with yourself.i totally agree. Most of us see it as a need. First you have to be in love with who you are,( honestly). Cause some people with terrible character lie to themselves. Then you will find love. Just stop looking and focus and doing good, being nice, I know people say women don't like nice guys. I promise you you don't want those women. There are few reasonable people in this life, and I know if it's meant to happen and you play your part, Love will find you.

The format of this video was like nothing I've seen before, it was so calming and nice, the parts where you spoke to yourself were funny too. I'm in the same predicament though, no matter how much fronting I do, I can't lie about the fact that I've never truly found "love" yet either. Hell, the last girl I liked was taken by one of my close friends. It makes you feel discouraged and stupid, like you said in the video. But I can't give up, my dream (among many other things) is to have a loving wife and kids, I want to be needed by someone, and I want to provide for those people that I love. It'll happen someday I suppose. Either that or I'll die trying. 👍🏾

My idea of love (that isn't lust or any other brain chemicals) is 1) Is this person going to be an amazing mother/father to my kids and 2) Has this person been on my team and will they be on my team moving forward (given that I reciprocate sufficiently). I'd love for anyone else to chime in since I've never been in love but I find these factors to be all encompassing for the most part.

My god this was one of my favorite videos from you, as someone I. In Your position I thought it be hopeless. But I am surprised and honestly shocked. I never thought you would be. One of the guys who never experienced love. You seem quite handsome, bold and have skill as I can see in the channel you’ve made and the work you put into it. But when I say you approach people and all the tension and fear and awkwardness, I cringed, not just at you but because I saw an extension of myself up there… it’s hard man. No matter what anyone tells you. This Monday/Wednesday I am gonna go and try to ask out at least ONE GIRL and see if I can go through with it . Will it be cringe worthy? Yes. Will it be awkward? Most definitely, will I get rejected? Oh I can already see the heart break already, but I am gonna DO IT! You have inspired me my friend, thank you! Needless to say you have a fan from now on. Asking a girl for her name is a bad introduction. If you want to know their name, tell them yours first. If they don't tell you theirs afterward, it probably means they aren't interested, which doesn't necessarily mean you should immediately move on but it is a good indicator of where you currently stand.
